본 연구는 유아의 일상생활과 연계된 다큐멘터리를 활용한 환경교육활동이 유아의 환경감수성 및 환경보전지식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 36 명(실험집단 18명, 통제집단 18명)이며, 실험처치는 매주 1회씩 회당 2-3일에 걸쳐 11주간 이루어졌다. 실험집단에는 3개 공영방송에서 제작한 다큐멘터리 중 연구자가 유아의 일상생활과 유아환경교육의 영역이 반영된 다큐멘터리 11편과 연계하여 구성한 환경교육활동을 적용하였으며, 통제집단에는 누리과정의 일반적인 환경교육활동을 적용하였다. 유아의 환경감수성을 알아보기 위하여 조부경, 지옥정, 김경철, 정아림(2016)이 재구성한 검사도구를 사용하였고, 환경보전지식을 측정하기 위해 최명하(2012)가 수정·보완한 검사도구를 사용하였다. 그 결과 유아의 일상생활과 연계된 다큐멘터리를 활용한 환경교육활동이 유아의 환경감수성 및 환경보전지식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 유아의 환경감수성 및 환경보전지식을 증진시키는 의미 있는 접근방안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

The aim of this study was to examine how "Environmental Education Activity using Daily Documentary" affects young children's environmental sensitivity and environmental preservation knowledge. The sample group consisted of 36 five-year-old children(18 experimental group, 18 control group). Experimental treatment was applied to the experimental group of 18 young children in 11 week session. In this research, the results of Scale for Young Children's Environmental Sensitivity(Cho, Ji, Kim & Jung, 2016) and Young Children's Environmental Preservation Knowledge Test(Choi, 2012) were used in order to measure the dependent variables. At the end of the EEADD, the young children in experimental group showed meaningful improvements in all areas than those of the control group. It implies that using daily documentary for young children's environmental education can be an effective approach to increase children's environmental sensitivity and environmental preservation knowledge.
