대통령 탄핵과 새로운 정권의 출범 이후 남북정상회담이 계속되며 평화공존과 통일에 대한 기대가 커지는 지금, 감정적인 반응과 이념적인 평가가 현실을 이성적으로 바라보고 객관적으로 분석하는데 걸림돌이 되기도 한다. 이런 상황에서 그리스도 공동체는 어떤 시각으로 사회변화를 바라보아야 하는지 또 어떤 마음가짐으로 통일을 준비해야 하는지 검토하는 일은 중요하다. 그리스도인들은 이념의 틀에서 벗어나 신앙의 눈으로 사회변화를 지켜보아야 할 것이고, 편향성과 주관성을 떠나 신중하게 대응해야 할 것이다. 아울러 하나님의 뜻이라며 하나님 이름을 오용하는 일은 이젠 그만 두어야 할 것이다. 무엇보다 우리에게 주어진 화해의 사명을 자각하여 분열된 사회와 분단된 조국의 화해를 위해 선을 행하며 사랑을 실천하는 일이 계속되어야 할 것이다. 그러기 위해 먼저 용서하고 서로 화목하며 공의를 이루어가야 할 것이다. 아울러 북한동포를 위해 기도하며 통일을 준비하는 교회 공동체가 되어야 할 것이다.

While the inter-Korean summit continues, the expectations for peaceful coexistence and reunification are increasing, and emotional reactions and ideological evaluations are obstacles to rationally view the reality and objectively analyze it. In such a situation, Christians have to watch social changes through the eyes of faith away from the ideological frame, and respond carefully, without from bias and subjectivity. In addition, it is time to stop misusing God’s name as God’s will. Above all, it is necessary to continue to practice goodness and to practice love for the reconciliation of divided society and divided nation by recognizing the ministry of reconciliation given to us. To do so, we must first forgive, reconcile, and achieve righteousness. In addition, it should be a Christian community that prays for North Koreans and prepares for reunification.
