국가단위의 계획인 공공디자인 진흥 종합계획이 수립된 이후 245개 광역 및 기초 지방자치단체에서는 의무적으로 지역진흥 종합계획을 수립하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 완주군의 공공디자인 진흥을 위하여 주제별 공공디자인 전략을 제시하고 구체적인 세부 디자인 규정을 위한 유형별 가이드라인 방향을 마련하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 공간적 범위는 완주군 전역으로 연구의 범위는 완주군 현황분석과 공공디자인 진흥을 위한 주제별 공공디자인 전략, 공공시각매체, 공공시설물, 공공건축물, 공공공간으로 분류한 유형별 가이드라인으로 제안한다. 연구의 방법은 문헌조사를 통한 일반현황 조사, 현장조사를 통한 완주군의 디자인 현황, 설문조사, 상위계획 분석을 바탕으로 발전적 개발 방향을 제시한다. 본 연구의 내용 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 완주군은 고령인구 특성을 고려한 디자인 계획이 필요하였다. 두 번째, 완주군의 디자인 현황을 분석한 결과 각기 다른 디자인에 대한 규정사항이 필요하였다. 세 번째, 설문조사 결과 완주군민들은 자연녹지 청정지역 이미지를 강조할 수 있는 디자인 계획과 지역 랜드마크를 필요로 하였다. 네 번째, 조사한 내용을 토대로 주제별 공공디자인 전략 및 유형별 가이드라인 방향성을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 지자체 공공디자인 진흥계획의 선두주자로서 향후 수립되는 진흥계획에 기반이 되는 연구라는 점에서 의의가 있으며 향후 완주군의 공공디자인이 도약하는데 도움이 될 것이라고 본다.

Since the public design promotion general plan in the national unit was established, total 245 metropolitan & basic local governments obligatorily have formed the local promotion general plan. Thus, this study aimed to suggest the public design strategies for each theme for the promotion of public design in Wanju-gun, and also to establish the direction of guideline for each type for the concrete detailed design regulations. The spatial scope of this study is the whole area of Wanju-gun. The scope of this study includes the analysis on the current status of Waju-gun, public design strategies for the promotion of public design, and the guideline for each type that is classified into public visual media, public facilities, public building, and public space. This study suggests the expansive development direction based on a general research on the current status through literature research, the current design status of Wanju-gun through field study, a survey, and the analysis on the upper plan. The contents and conclusions of this study are as follows. First, Wanju-gun needed a design plan considering the characteristics of elderly population. Second, in the results of analyzing the current design status of Wanju-gun, the regulations for each different design were needed. Third, in the results of the survey, the residents of Wanju-gun needed a design plan and local landmark that could emphasize the image of natural green clean area. Fourth, based on the surveyed contented, the public design strategies for each theme and the direction of guideline for each type were drawn. The significance of this study is to become a basic study for the future promotion plan as a leader in the promotion plan of local government public design. This study would be helpful for the takeoff of public design of Wanju-gun in the future.
