목적 : 본 연구의목적은 전문가들의 의견 조사를 통해 고령운전자 운전제도의개선방안에 대한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 하였다.
연구방법 : 본 연구는 운전 및 고령자에 대한 전문가 10인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 조사결과는 SPSS 12.0 Version을 사용하여 통계 분석하였다.
결과 : 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고령운전자의운전적성 검사를 현행보다 강화해야 한다는 응답이 가장 많았으며, 둘째, 외국에서 실시되는 고령운전자 적성검사제도 중에 국내에 도입이 필요한 제도에 대한 인식을 확인하기 위해 선별하여 제시하여 확인한 결과, 자진반납제도 구축을 제외한 대부분의 제도에 대해 도입이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 마지막으로 고령운전자를 위한 운전기능검사가 필요하다고 응답하였다.
결론 : 고령운전자의운전제도를 강화하고 고령운전자들에게 객관적이고 타당한 운전기능검사를 실시한다면 고령운전자들의안전운전 증진에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the improvement plan of the Elderly driver’s driving license management through the opinion survey by experts.
Method : In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 10 experts on driving and elderly people. The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS 12.0 Version.
Result : The main results of this study are as follows. First, the most frequent answer was that the elderly driver’s license management should be regulated. Second, the elderly driver management system conducted in foreign countries was selected and presented to confirm the recognition of the system that needed to be introduced in Korea. As a result, most of the systems except for the voluntary return system were required to be introduced. Finally, it was found that driving function tests for elderly drivers were necessary.
Conclusion : Regulation the driving management system of older drivers and the objective and reasonable test of driving function for older drivers may help improve the driving safety of older drivers.
