본 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구의 과정의 의미에 대해 시론적으로 고찰해보고자 한다. 내러티브 탐구는 인간의 경험에 기초하여 이야기하기-다시이야기하기라는 방법으로 인간의 삶을 탐구한다고 알려져 있다. 내러티브 탐구는 질적 연구의 한 방법으로서 문화기술지, 생애사 연구, 실행연구, 근거이론 등 질적 연구와 공통점을 가지면서도 차이를 갖고 있는데, 본 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구의 고유성은 ‘이야기하기-다시이야기하기’라는 탐구 의 과정에 있다고 보고, 이것의 의미가 무엇인지를 고찰해보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구가 Dewey의 경험 이론에 근거하고 있기 때문에 내러티브 탐구의 과정이 경 험의 성장 및 변화의 원리와 관계가 있다고 보았다. 이에 본 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구 과정의 의미를 고찰하기 위해 Dewey 경험의 개념을 이해해보고, 이를 토대로 내러티브 탐구자가 탐구의 과정에서 고려할 점을 간략히 제시해보고자 했다.

This study attempts to examine the meaning of the process of narrative inquiry. Narrative inquiry is known to explore human life in a way of telling and retelling based on human experience. Narrative inquiry is a method of qualitative research that has a commonality with qualitative research such as cultural paper, life history research, practical research, and grounded theory. I am in the process of inquiry, and I want to consider what it means. In this study, since narrative inquiry is based on Dewey's theory of experience, the process of narrative inquiry is related to the principle of growth and change of experience. Therefore, this study tried to understand the concept of Dewey's experience in order to examine the meaning of the narrative inquiry process and to briefly present the points that the narrative investigator considers in the process of inquiry.
