목적 : 시력보정용 안경의 사용은 개개인의 특성마다 다른 사용실태를 보여주고 있다. 특성별 다양한 사용실태에 대한 기초자료를 제시하고 안경사에 대한 간접적인 사회적 인식을 보며 지향해야 할 방향에 대한 정립에 활용 되고자 한다.
방법 : 연구방법으로 전국 만 19세 이상 성인 남녀 약 1,500명을 대상으로 유무선 RDD(random digit dialing) 방식의 CATI(computer assisted telephone interviewing)를 이용하여 구조화된 웹 설문지를 사용하여 조사하였다.
결과 : 성인의 연도별 시력보정용 안경 교체주기는 2년 이상이 2015년 46.0%, 2019년 50.7%였다. 청소년의 연도별 교체주기는 6~12개월이 2015년 44.8%, 2019년 46.5%였다. 성인의 연도별 사용하는 콘택트렌즈의 종류는 2015년(52.8%)은 '연속착용 렌즈'가 높았으며 2019년(48.9%)은 '원데이 렌즈'가 가장 높았다. 청소년의 연도별 사용하는 콘택트렌즈의 종류는 2015년(42.3%)과 2019년(46.7%)은 둘 다 ‘연속착용 렌즈’와 ‘원데이 렌즈’가 동일 했다. 성인의 연도별 시력 검안 장소는 안경원이 매년 높게 나타났고, 고려요인은 매년 안경 구입 시 안경렌즈의 중요가 높았다. 안경원 선택 시 고려요인은 합리적 가격(53.4%)과 정확한 시력검사(47.7%)로 나타났다.
결론 : 성인의 교체주기는 길어져만 가고 전문지식에 대한 불만을 토로하는 상황에서 안경 판매사라는 인식을 탈피하여 시력검안전문가로서의 역할을 인지하고 사람들에게 점차 정착시켜야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Purpose : The people use vision correction devices is different according to individual characteristics. It presents basic data on various usage status by characteristics and look for indirect social perceptions of opticians and use them to establish directions.
Methods : As a research method, about 1,500 adults men and women over 19 years of age were surveyed using a structured web questionnaire using CATI using wired and wireless RDD. Results : The annual replacement cycle of adults was more than 2 years, 46.0% in 2015, 50.7% in 2019. The annual replacement cycle of youth was 6~12 months, with 44.8% in 2015, 46.5% in 2019. The type of contact lenses used by adults by year was the highest in 'continuous-lenses' in 2015(52.8%), 2019(48.9%). The types of contact lenses used by youths by year were the same for both 'continuous-lenses' and 'oneday-lenses' in 2015(42.3%) and 2019(46.7%). The annual optometry place by adults was high in optical shops every year and considering factors, lenses were important when purchasing every year. Considerations for choosing an optical shop were a reasonable price(53.4%) and an accurate visual acuity test(47.7%).
Conclusion : In the situation where the replacement cycle of an adult becomes longer and complains about professional knowledge, it is necessary to recognize the role of an eye exam specialist and settle down gradually to people.
