본 논문에서는 양생의 현대적 해석과 한국에서의 적용을 다루었다. 앞서 진행된 한국에서의 양생 연구를 살펴보면, 양생 연구에 관심이 그리 많지 않음을 확인할 수 있다. 그 원인 가운데 하나는 세상은 변하는 데 양생의 의미는 과거에 머물러 있기 때문이다. 이러한 상황에서 양생 연구를 새롭게 발전 시키기 위해서 양생의 현대적 해석과 한국에서의 적용을 탐구해 보았다. 먼저 ‘양생의 현대적 해석’에서는 고대 양생의 의미를 기초로 양생의 현대적 계승을 알아보았다. 특히, 현대 과학의 발전과 인식의 변화에 따른 양생의 온고지 신을 강조하였다. 동시에 현대인들은 새로운 양생을 원하고, 이러한 측면의 양생은 생활 속에서 다양하게 존재하고 있음을 제시하였다. ‘양생의 한국적 적용’에서는 양생의 현대적 해석을 기초로 한국 사회에 적용할 방향을 모색하였다. 한국 사회의 경제적 발전은 많은 분야에 영향을 미쳤고, 양생의 현대적 적용이 필요함을 감지할 수 있다고 보았다. 본 연구를 통해 필자는 종교와 사상은 당대 사람들의 문제에 귀 기울이고 이에 대한 대응을 적극적으로 하면서, 삶의 방향을 제시해야한다고 설파하였다. 그러므로 이러한 길에서 양생도 끊임없이 현실의 목소리에 귀 기울여 새롭게 탄생해야 함을 강조하였다.

在本論文中, 論述了養生的現代解釋和在韓國的應用｡ 爲此, 首先考察了 在韓國的養生研究和現實情況｡ 養生是關注逐漸減少的領域｡ 究其原因, 世 界在變化, 養生的意義卻停留在過去｡ 強調需要基於這些情況對養護進行現 代解釋, 在‘養生現代解釋’中, 以古代養生的意義爲基礎, 謀求養生的現代傳 承｡ 特彆強調隨着現代科學的發展和認識的改變, 養生要溫故知新｡ 現代人 希望有新的養生方式, 這種側面的養生揭示了生活中各種不同的存在｡ 在‘養 生的韓國適用’中, 以養生的現代性解釋爲基礎, 探索了韓國社會兩個方面應 用的方向｡ 它與經濟相關, 分爲正面和反面｡ 積極的一面是經濟發展帶來的, 是人們遊刃有餘而產生的｡ 小確行, 享受當下, 在Well-Being, Well-Daying之 類的東西中, 提到養生的現代要求｡ 消極的一面是, 爲了經濟上的寬裕犧牲 和由此帶來的疲勞感, 成爲韓國社會的一大問題的自殺問題｡ 爲此探索了養 生的適用｡ 長壽也很重要｡ 但是幸福快樂的生活也很重要｡ 隨着科學的發展, 現在長壽比過去長壽了, 我提到長壽的概念要從量變到質變｡ 宗教和思想要 傾聽當代人的問題, 積極對此作出迴應, 並指明生活的方向｡ 在這樣的路上, 養生也不例外｡

This paper dealt with the modern interpretation of Yang Sheng and its application in Korea. Judging from previous studies, Yang Sheng's research in Korea is not a very high-profile area. One of the causes is that the world changes because Yang Sheng's meaning remains in the past. In order to develop new research on Yang Sheng under these circumstances, I explored the modern interpretation of Yang Sheng and its application in Korea. First, in ‘Modern Interpretation of Yang Sheng’, I recognized Yang Sheng's modern succession based on the meaning of Yang Sheng in the past. In particular, it emphasized Yang Sheng's reinterpretation according to the development of modern science and the change of perception. At the same time, modern people want a new Yang Sheng, and this aspect suggests that Yang Sheng is diverse in life. In 'Yang Sheng's Korean Application,' Yang Sheng sought a direction to apply to Korean society based on it’s modern interpretation. The economic development of Korean society has affected many areas, and I can sense the need for the modern application of Yang Sheng. Through this study, I preached that religion and thought should provide a direction of life by listening to the problems of the people of the day and actively responding to them. Thus, in this path, Yang Sheng insisted on constantly listening to the voice of reality and being reborn.
