본 연구는 국내 연안여객선 중 로팍스(Ro-Pax)여객선을 대상으로 거주구 실내디자인의 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 먼저 기존 연구 및 문헌 조사를 통하여 거주구 특성에 대해 고찰한 후 현재 운항하고 있는 로팍스여객선 7척에 대하여 현장 조사를 실시하였다. 현장조사를 통해 나타난 문제점을 바탕으로 여객선 전문가 38명을 대상 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그 결과 거주구 실내디 자인에서 공용시설이 가장 불만족한 것으로 나타났다. 실내디자인 만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 다중회귀분석 결과 색채 만족도가 거주구 사용자 만족도에 가장 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 거주구 실내디자인지침의 필요성이 높게 나타났다. 연구결과 공용시설의 종류 및 배치, 색채디자인 개선, 거주구 실내디자인지침 마련 등을 실내디자인 개선방안으로 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate user satisfaction by identifying the problems and suggesting Improvement plans of interior design in the accommodation area of Ro-Pax ships. First, the characteristics of Ro-Pax ships’ accommodation area through previous studies and references, and then a field survey was conducted on seven kinds of Ro-Pax ships. Based on the field study, a questionnaire survey was administered targeting 38 experts involved in passenger ships who indicated that public facilities were the most unsatisfactory of interior design in accommodation areas. As a result of Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, the satisfaction of color showed the highest influence on user satisfaction in accommodation areas, and required the standard of the interior design in accommodation areas. The suggested results of research were the types and layout of public facilities, improvement of color design, provision of interior design standard for accommodation areas, and improvement plans for interior design of Ro-Pax ships.
