본 논문은 마이클 부블레의 앨범 중 팝 앨범으로서의 가치가 입증된 앨범을 선정하고 그중 재즈곡을 선별, 분석함으로써 대중음악에 활용된 재즈 보컬 표현기법을 도출함으로써 향후 대중음악에서 활용 가능한 재즈 보컬 표현 기법을 정립시키고 제시하는 것이 목적을 가지고 연구가 이루어 졌다. 이 연구를 위해 마이클 부블레 앨범들 중 두 장의 수상 앨범의 수록곡을 분석했고 그중 장르적으로 Jazz 외 8곡을 제외한 18곡의 분석을 통해 발견한 대표적인 보컬 기법은 싱커페이션, 비브라토이다. 이렇게 도출된 보컬 기법은 다른 보컬 기법과의 조합에 따라 추가적인 기능을 가지고 활용되는 것을 알 수 있었다.싱커페이션은 개별적 기존 재즈에서 많이 활용되는 것과 같이 개별적으로 활용되기도 하지만, 마이클 부블레는 악센트, 빠른 비브라토와 조합하여 활용하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a method of expressing jazz vocals used in popular music by selecting and proving album that has proven its value as a pop album among albums of Michael Buble, The research has been done with the aim of establishing and presenting. For this research, we analyzed the songs of two of Michael Buble's albums. Among them, the representative vocal technique found in analyzing 18 songs excluding Jazz and 8 other songs in the genre is the syncope and vibrato. I can see that the vocal technique derived from this technique is used with additional functions in combination with other vocal techniques. Although the singing is used individually as it is often used in individual existing jazz, Michael Buble has accents, fast vibrato We can find out that they are used in combination.
