목적 : 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 차별경험과 우울감이 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다.
연구방법 : 전국에 있는 대학생 210명을 대상으로 본 연구의 목적과 취지를 설명한 뒤 구조화된 설문지를 배부한 후 불성실한 응답을 보인 10부를 제외한 후 200개의 설문지를 사용하였다. 사용된 척도는 청소년정책연구원(Mo & Kim, 2009)의 차별경험 척도, Beck(1961)의 우울 척도, Beck과 Kovacs와 Weissman(1979)의 자살생각 척도이다. 통계적 분석을 위해 통계 프로그램은 SPSS for Windows 20.0 Version을 사용하였다. 변수들과의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였으며, 두 개의 독립변수가 자살생각에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다.
결과 : 상관관계 분석을 통하여 각 변수들의 유의미한 상관관계를 확인했다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과 통제변수와 차별경험, 우울감을 단계적으로 투입한 모델 모두 자살생각에 통계적으로 유의미한 수준의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 모델1에서는 통제변수인 학년이 가장 유의한 영향을 주었으며, 모델2에서는 독립변수중 우울감의 하위요소인 생활변화가 가장 유의한 영향을 주었다. 또한 모델3에서는 독립변수중 생활변화와 차별경험이 다른 변수에 비해 더 많은 영향을 주었다.
결론 : 두 독립변수 모두 종속변수인 자살생각에 영향을 미쳤으며, 특히 우울감의 하위요소인 생활변화가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요소로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 변수에 대한 하위요인이 제한적이었으므로, 추후연구에서는 세분화된 하위요인들을 통한 연구가 필요하다.

Objective : This study looked at the effects of discrimination experience and depression on the suicidal ideation in university students.
Methods : A structured questionnaire was distributed to 200 college students in the country after explaining the object and purpose of this study. For statistical analysis, SPSS for Windows 20.0 Version was used as a statistical program. A correlation analysis was conducted to examine the correlation with the variables, and hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to investigate the effect of two independent variables on suicidal ideation.
Results : Through correlation analysis, significant correlations between variables were identified. As a result of the hierarchical regression analysis, both Model 2 and Model 3, in which control variables, discrimination experiences, and depression were stepped in, had a statistically significant effect on suicidal ideation. Also, in Model 3, a change of life and discrimination experience had more influence than other variables.
Conclusions : Both independent variables affected suicidal ideation, which are dependent variables, and a change of life, which is a sub-categories of depression, was the most influential factor. Since the sub-categories for variables were limited in this study, further studies need to be done through sub-categories.
