본 논문은 『玄應音義』를 중심으로 『新撰字鏡』의 문헌 인용 양상을 고찰하였다. 『字鏡』의 『玄應音義』 인용 양상을 보면, 표제자의 선정, 표제자 표음, 자의 및 예증, 이체자 정보 등 내용 구성면에서 폭넓게 『玄應音義』를 활용하고 있는데, 때로는 『玄 應音義』만으로, 때로는 『玉篇』이나 『切韻』 등 다른 문헌의 정보를 활용해 『玄應音義』의 부족한 점을 보충하여 사서로서의 가치와 효용성을 높였다. 그러나 인용 출처를 밝히지 않아 문헌 인용 관계가 명확하지 않은 점이나, 체제가 엄정하지 못하고 오류가 많다는 것은 이 책이 가진 한계이다. 따라서 광범위하고 정확한 문헌 인용 관계 연구와 석문의 교감을 통해 이 책이 가진 한자학·문헌학 가치를 재조명해야 할 필요 가 있다.

Shinsenjikyo is an important ancient Japanese dictionary completed by Shoju during the Heian period. The book was originally compiled by Xuanyingyinyi, Yupian, Qieyun, Ganluzishu and other literatures, which cited title words, phonographs, meanings, and examples. This paper analyzes the aspect of quoting the literature of Shinsenjikyo, especially with the focus on Xuanyingyinyi. Shinsenjikyo uses Xuanyingyinyi in a wide range of content structures, including selecting the title words, quoting the sound, meaning, example, and variant characters of the title words. Sometimes with Xuanyingyinyi alone, sometimes using information from other literatures, such as Yupian and Qieyun, to make up for Xuanyingyinyi's deficiencies, thereby enhancing its value and utility as a dictionary. However, the limitations of this book are that the literature citation relationship is not clear, because it does not reveal the source of the citation, and that there are many errors due to the lack of strict format. Therefore, it is necessary to shed light on the value of this book as a dictionary through extensive and accurate research of literature citation relation and meticulous calibration.
