中国传统的‘劝学’思想促进了独具特色的中国劝学文的产生和发展。作为至今仍广 泛流行并影响韩中日三国汉学研究和学术界的《古文真宝》,把劝学文放在卷首导论的位 置,对《古文真宝》的传播与发展意义非凡。《古文真宝》作为当时代表性的文选类教 材,首篇劝学文是以劝导学生学习为主要功能的文学类型,既是是‘情’与‘理’的高度 集中,也是‘文学’与‘教育’的独特结合。选文以唐宋著名文人的作品为主,虽具有时 代局限性,但所选作家与全书相互呼应,在精神上主要体现在‘劝导读书学习’的理念。 不管是帝王,还是士大夫,亦或是民间学者,都是围绕‘劝学’这一主题。从劝学导向、 劝学内容和学习方法三个方面科学系统的阐释了劝学的思想内涵,实现劝学效果的最大 化。作为文学作品,《古文真宝》劝学文能把劝学与文学创作巧妙地融合在一起,其生动 形象的人物形象,灵活多样的说理方式以及典型的意象运用,构成了《古文真宝》劝学文独特的文学表现和特征,形成中国文学史上极具特色的劝学文化。此外,《古文真宝》前 集劝学文在文学创作、社会文化、教育等方面都具有不可忽视的时代价值。
