The Battle of Thermopylae(480 BC) was one of the fiercest battles in history during the Persian invasion of Greece, and the movie 300 is based on this battle. King Leonidas of Sparta and 300 warriors delayed the advance of the Persian army 1000 times stronger for three days for three days, giving the Greek allies time to prepare for the war, leading to victory at the Sea Battle of Salamis. Comparing and evaluating the Battle of Thermopylae from the standpoint of tangible and intangible forces, first, in terms of tangible power, ①the majority of Persians and a small number of elite Spartans, ②the power of the Hoplites' hoplon shield and long spear stood out.
