이 연구는 최근 해외의 현지인 한국어 교원의 재교육에 관심을 가지고 국립국어원에서 K티처 과정을 개설하게 되었으나 과연 이 과정이 전 세 계 모든 현지인 한국어 교원에게 동일하게 적용될 수 있는지에 의문을 가지고 시작하게 되었다. 한국어 학습 수요가 많은 중앙아시아지역의 한 국어 학과 개설 대학을 중심으로 문헌 조사, 현지인 한국어 교원과의 인 터뷰, 현지 한국인 한국어 교원과의 인터뷰를 통해 K티처 과정을 수강할 수 있는 상황인지 확인하였고, 그렇지 못하다면 어떤 문제를 우선적으로 해결해야 하는지 살펴보고 중앙아시아지역 대학교 한국어과 현지인 교원 을 위한 교사 재교육 단계를 제안하였다. 중앙아시아지역의 대학교 한국 어과 현지인 교원의 재교육은 K티처 과정 수강 전에 하는 예비 과정과 K티처 과정으로 나눌 수 있다. 예비과정에서는 TOPIK5급 수준에 해당하 는 한국어 교육, 사용하고 있는 교재의 이해와 이용법 교육을 진행한다. 이 두 단계가 완료되면 K티처 과정 수강과 평가로 현지인 한국어 교원으 로 인증받고 안정적인 교원 활동을 유지할 수 있다.

This study started with the question of whether the K-Teacher course (re-education program for nonnative korean teaxhers) can be applied equally to all Korean teachers in the world. It was confirmed that the K-Teacher course can be taken through literature survey, interviews with local Korean language teachers, focusing on Korean language departments in Central Asia, which are in high demand for Korean language learning. I proposed a teacher retraining stage for local Korean language teachers at universities in Central Asia.The re-education of Korean language teachers at universities in Central Asia can be divided into preparatory courses and practice for text book courses before taking K-teacher courses. In the preparatory course, Korean language education equivalent to TOPIK5 level, understanding of the textbooks in use, and education on how to use them are conducted, and once these two stages are completed, they can be certified as local Korean teachers by taking and evaluating K-Teacher courses and maintain stable teacher activities.
