A Study on Tone Education for Korean Beginner Learners of Modern Standard Chinese Utilizing Chinese Tong Twisters (ràokǒulìng, 绕口令) : Focusing on the Third and Second Tone
본고는 표준 중국어 초급 학습자를 대상으로 ‘绕口令’ 자료를 활용하여 제3성과 제 2성에 중점을 둔 성조 교육 방안을 설계하고, 이를 직접 실제 교육 현장에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하는 것에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 2장에서는 수업 설계 방 안을 제시하였고, 3장에서는 수업의 구체적인 운영 및 결과, 만족도에 대한 분석을 진행하였으며, 마지막 4장에서는 본고의 연구 성과를 종합하였다.
The aim of this study is to develop a comprehensive and effective teaching methodology that specifically emphasizes the third and second tones of modern standard Chinese for Korean beginner learners. To achieve this goal, the study proposes the utilization of Chinese tongue twisters, known as ‘ràokǒulìng’ (绕口 令), as instructional materials. These tongue twisters, with their intricate and challenging phonetic patterns, offer an engaging and interactive way for learners to practice and master the targeted tones. In order to validate the efficacy of this approach, the study plans to implement the proposed teaching methodology in real educational settings. To accomplish this, Chapter 2 provides a detailed outline of the instructional design plan, Chapter 3 analyzes the implementation process and class outcomes, and finally, Chapter 4 summarizes the research findings and proposes potential areas for future research. By conducting this study and presenting its findings, the aim is to contribute to the field of Chinese language education, offering a practical and innovative approach for Korean learners to improve their pronunciation skills and enhance their overall language learning experience.
