중국계 미국인 여성 작가 탕팅팅의 데뷔작인 『여용사』는 중국을 배경으로 하며 풍부한 상상력과 간결하고 직설적인 문 체를 통해 미국 중국계 소녀들의 어린 시절과 주변 여성들의 삶을 묘사하였다. 동시에 중국 본토의 유령을 자유와 싸우는 여성 영웅의 모습과 융합하여 미국에서 사는 중국계들이 받고 있는 차별, 억압, 불안함, 빈곤한 삶의 현실을 보여주었다. 이 연구는 비교문학 형상학(imagology)의 시각에서 『여용사』가 묘사한 용자의 이미지를 분석하였다. 이 연구는 작품 속 다섯 명의 여용사 이미지에 대한 분석을 통해 여용사가 어떻게 중국 의 봉건적 가부장제의 속박과 억압에서 벗어나 미국 서방 주류 사회에서 중국계 여성에 대한 고정관념을 뒤엎고 중국계 여성 의 주체성을 다시 세운 것에 대해 밝혔다.

Set in China, the maiden work “The Woman Warrior”(1976) by Chinese-American female writer Maxine Hong Kingston portrays the childhood life of young girls living in the Chinese circle of America and the lives of the surrounding women through imaginative fiction and concise white drawings. At the same time, the heroine is fused with the Chinese mainland gods and ghosts and the heroine image of the free fight, showing the discrimination, depression, instability and poverty of Chinese American. This paper analyzes the image of warriors depicted in “The Woman Warrior” from the perspective of comparative literary imagology. Through the analysis of the five female warriors in the novel, it reveals how the female warriors got rid of the shackles and oppression of feudal patriarchy, subverted the stereotypes of Chinese-American women created by mainstream American Western society, and re-established the subjectivity of Chinese American women.

美国华裔女作家汤亭亭的处女作《女勇士》以中国为背景，通 过极富想像力的虚构与简洁的白描，刻画了生活在美国华人圈中的 小女孩们的童年生活以及周围女性生活的图景。同时将女主人公与 中国大陆的神异鬼怪和自由战斗的女英雄形象熔于一炉，展现出美 国华裔受歧视、受压抑、不安定以及贫困的生活现状。本文从比较 文学形象学的视角分析《女勇士》所描绘的勇士形象。通过对小说 中五位女勇士形象进行分析，揭露女勇士是如何摆脱封建父权制的 束缚与压迫，颠覆美国西方主流社会给华裔女性塑造的刻板印象， 从而重新建立华裔女性的主体性。
