한국은 심각한 저출산과 고령화 문제에 직면했다. 연구자는 국내 인구 감소 문제를 해결하는 방안 중 하나로써 이민자 수용을 통한 다문화 사 회 확대의 중요성을 확인하고자 인구 문제와 이민을 연결하여 대학생들 을 대상으로 설문 조사 하였다. 설문은 결혼관과 출산에 대한 인식, 저출 산 문제 해결 방안, 이민자 수용과 다문화 사회에 대한 인식 등이다. 설 문 결과, 학생들은 결혼의 필요성을 부정하고, 출산에 대해서도 부정적인 인식을 보였다. 이는 인구의 지속적인 자연증가가 어렵겠다는 의미를 포 함하고 있다. 이민자 수용에는 대체로 긍정적이고 한국이 다문화 사회가 되는 것에는 수용적 태도를 보였다. 현재 시행되고 있는 출산장려 정책 의 실효성이 검증되지 못한 시점에서 당면한 인구 문제를 해결하기 위해 서는 캐나다와 같은 이민 국가로 나아가야 한다. 연구자는 이를 위해 세 가지 이민정책을 제안하였다. 첫째, 유학생들의 국내 취업 활성화, 둘째, 여성 중심 이주의 활성화, 셋째, 캐나다의 점수제 이민제도를 통해 고급 인력 확보와 각 지자체가 탄력적으로 이민을 수용하는 방안을 제시하였 다. 본 연구는 변화하는 신세대의 사고를 이해하고 문제점을 파악하며, 인구 증가책의 하나로써 신속하게 추진 가능한 이민정책을 제시하여 다 문화 사회로의 방향성을 제시였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

Through a survey of college students, this researcher attempted to study the acceptance of immigrants as a solution to the decline in the domestic population through the view of marriage and thoughts on childbirth of a new generation. As a result, they generally responded positively to the increase in the population through the acceptance of immigrants, their childbirth, and the resulting diverse social composition. Accordingly, the researcher recognized that it was time to change the paradigm of immigrant acceptance and suggested three measures. First, it is a plan to revitalize domestic employment of international students who have obtained bachelor's or master's degrees. The second is the activation of women-based migration. The third is to secure high-quality manpower by introducing score-based immigration system and each local government proposed a plan to flexibly accept immigration. The new generation is positive about accepting immigrants and is receptive to Korea becoming a multicultural society. This study served as an opportunity to grasp the consciousness of the young generation. It is also significant in that it approaches the diversity of migration one step further.
