이 논문은 대종교(大倧敎)의 􋺷단군교오대종지포명서􋺸에 수록된 창세신화를 중심으로, 여기에 드러난 하늘과 인간에 대한 인식을 천인 관계의 전통 속에서 파악한 것이다. 􋺷단군교오대종지포명서􋺸의 창세신화에서 우주의 창조는 정(精), 기(氣),신(神)을 바탕으로 한 도교의 우주론과 유사하다. 또한 하늘과 신의 세 차례에 걸친 인류 창조와 신의 문화 창조는 기존의 천인 관계 사이에 신을 배치 하여, 신과 인간의 직접적인 연결을 강조하였다. 창세신화에서 하늘과 신의 인 류 창조는 불완전하며, 이 불완전한 창조를 대황조성신이 완성한다. 이는 대황 조성신의 위상을 명확하게 하고, 대황조성신의 직계 자손인 대종교도들이 ‘오대 종지’를 지켜야 할 근거가 된다. 나아가 대종교 교리의 전제가 된다. 이렇듯 기 존에 전승되던 단군 신화에 더해 인류의 기원과 우주의 기원을 구체화한 􋺷단군 교오대종지포명서􋺸에 수록된 창세신화는 나라를 잃어버린 대종교도들에게 모 순된 현실 아래에서 하늘과 신, 단군으로부터 자신에게까지 이어지는 우주의 통 합을 이루도록 만들어준다. 따라서 대종교도들이 이 창세신화를 기억하고, 이를 기반으로 의례를 수행하는 것은 20세기 대종교도들에게 무너져버린 현실을 대 황조성신의 도로 새롭게 갱신하는 순간이 된다.

This paper aims to understand the perception of heaven and humanity as revealed in the creation myth contained in Dangungyo Odae Jongji Pomyeongseo of Daejonggyo. In detail, the creation of the universe closely resembles the Taoist cosmology. This creation of the universe myth closely resembles Taoist cosmology. It also describes the three-stage creation of humanity by heaven and the creation of culture by a deity, emphasizing the direct connection between deities and human beings by inserting a divine figure between heaven and humanity. Furthermore, the incomplete creation by the divine being is ultimately completed by DaehwangjoSeongshin, elucidating DaehwangjoSeongshin’s status. This served as the foundation for supporting the ‘Odae Jongji’, the five fundamental tenets that Daejonggyo followers had to uphold. Thus, for 20th-century Daejonggyo followers, remembering this creation myth and performing the rituals based on it became an opportunity to renew their shattered reality by following the way of DaehwangjoSeongshin.
