직업 세계의 변화에 발맞추어 공업계열 고등학교의 변화가 요구되는 가운데 C 공업고등학교의 현재와 미래 나아가야할 방향을 모색해 보았다. 이를 위하여 교사, 학부모, 학생의 인식 정도를 조사하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 학교 운영상 문제점 도출, 도내 우수중학생 유치 방안 마련, 졸업 후 양질의 취업과 진학 향상을 위한 요구 분석 및 방향 모색, 현재 진행 중인 생산자동화 분야 특성화 운영에 학교 구성원의 인식을 알아보았다. C 공업고등학교 교육의 현재와 미래 나아가야할 방향에 대한 결과를 SWOT분석을 하고 그 결과를 Pay off -Matrix 통해 도출된 결과는 우선순위로 결정된 단기 방안 18개와 중․장기 발전 방안 1개이다. 이 중 가장 우선적으로 수행해야 할 개선 방안은 ‘기계․금속 계열의 차별화 교육과정 개편’이었으며, 중․장기 발전 방안으로는 ‘지역 주민의 학교 이미지 제고를 위해 평생학습 교육장 운영을 할 수 있는 제반 여건 조성’으로 나왔다.

In this research, we searched that C technical high school should go to into present and future on demand of vocational real life and development of technical high school. For this, we researched recognition of teachers, parents of students and students and drew problems of school administration, planed provision for attracting brilliant students, analyzed of demand for improving beginning to work and study after graduation and researched recognition of school constituent about administration of manufacturing automation fields through basis of the result. The results which are drown through analysis of Pay-Off Matrix and SWOT about what C technical high school is going to into present and future are that short term plan are 18 and mi d․long term plan is 1. Among them, plan to accomplish in the first was reorganization curriculum of discriminating department of mechanical and metal and min․long term plan was administration of lifelong education for improving a C technical high school image about local residents.
