21세기 들어 인공지능(Artificial Intelligence)은 예술 창작의 구조와 개념을 근본적으로 변 화시키고 있다. 특히 음악 분야에서 생성형 AI의 등장은 작곡과 편곡의 경계를 허물며, 인간의 감정과 기술의 연산이 결합된 새로운 예술 형태를 출현시켰다. 본 연구는 AI 기반 음원 제작이 공연예술, 특히 무용 창작 구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구 방법으로 질적 사례연구를 채택하고, 국내에서 이루어진 두 가지 공연 사례 ― ① 국립국악원 『세종탄신 하례 연』<AI 복원 궁중음악 공연>(2024), ② 『G·Artience 2024』<무용×AI 융합 공연> 를 중심으로 고찰하였다. 분석틀로는 앤드류 핀버그(Andrew Feenberg)의 기술철학과 볼터와 그루신(Bolter & Grusin)의 재매개 이론을 바탕으로 ‘학습–모방–공진–종결’의 4단계 퍼포먼스 구조를 설정하였 다.『세종 탄신 하례연』은 전통음악의 복원을 통해 ‘기억된 예술’의 현대적 재해석을 보여주 었으며, 『G·Artience 2024』는 인간의 신체 데이터를 AI가 실시간으로 해석하고 음악·시각 효 과를 공진적으로 생성함으로써 공동지능 예술의 가능성을 제시하였다. 이와 같은 분석은 AI 기술 이 예술 창작의 민주화와 감정 표현의 확장을 동시에 이끌고 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구는 기술이 예술의 협업 구조와 주체성을 어떻게 재구성하는지를 실증적으로 제시함으로써, AI 시대 공연예 술의 지속적 발전 방향을 탐색하는 학문적 기초를 마련하고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다.

In the 21st century, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has fundamentally transformed the struc ture and concept of artistic creation. In particular, the emergence of generative AI has blurred the boundaries between composition and arrangement, giving rise to new forms of art that combine human emotion with computational processes. This study aims to analyze the imp act of AI-based music production on performing arts, especially in the structure of dance creation. Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research examines two Korean performances: (1) the National Gugak Center’s『Sejong Birthday Ceremony: AI-Reconstructed Court Music』 (2024), and (2) 『G·Artience 2024』<Dance × AI Convergence Performance>. The analysis applies a four-stage performance framework—Learning, Imitation, Co-resonance, and Closure—derived from Feenberg’s (2010) philosophy of technology and Bolter and Grusi n’s (1999) theory of remediation. The 『Sejong Birthday Ceremony』 exemplifies a contempor ary reinterpretation of “remembered art” through the AI-driven restoration of traditiona l music, while 『G·Artience 2024』 demonstrates the potential of co-intelligent art, in which AI interprets human bodily data in real time to generate synchronized music and visual effects. These analyses collectively show that AI technology not only democratizes artistic creation but also expands the emotional and expressive capacities of the performing arts. By empirically illustrating how technology reconstructs artistic collaboration and creativ e subjectivity, this study provides a theoretical foundation for future interdisciplinary research on AI and the performing arts.
