선차는 중국 승려 계층과 문예계가 수신양성(修身養性)의 과정에서 공 동으로 창조한 인류 문명의 정수 중 하나로, 그 역사적 배경이 깊고 문 화적 내포가 풍부하며 예술적 특성이 뚜렷하고 전파 범위가 넓어 사람들 을 놀라게 한다. 비록 선차의 발전은 중국 불교에서 비롯되었지만, 그 발 전 과정에서 독특한 문화 현상을 형성하며 끊임없이 세속 문화에 융합되 고 혁신과 진화를 거듭함으로써 더욱 깊은 영향력을 발휘해 왔으며, 현대 사회에서는 현대인의 정신적 고향을 재구성하는 데 기여하고 있다. 이 과 정에서 선차의 근원은 늘 중국 불교 전통에 뿌리를 두고 있으며, 중국 불교 예술의 활용과 분리될 수 없다. 그러나 일부 적용 과정에서 혼란이 발생해 진정한 선차 정신이 상실되기도 했다. 중국 불교 예술이 선차에 어떻게 적용되는지 명확히 규명한다면, 불교의 "보편적 가치"가 선차 문 화에서 어떻게 구현되는지 이해하는 데 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라, 불교 예 술의 선차 적용에서의 혁신 경로를 모색하고, 선차 문화의 전승과 발전을 위한 새로운 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

Zen tea is one of the finest creations of human civilization, jointly developed by Chinese monastic and literary circles in the pursuit of self-cultivation and spiritual refinement. Its profound historical heritage, rich cultural connotations, distinctive artistic characteristics, and extensive dissemination are truly remarkable. Although the development of Zen tea originated from Chinese Buddhism, it has evolved into a unique cultural phenomenon, continuously integrating into secular culture, undergoing innovation and iteration, and exerting a deeper influence. In contemporary society, it even plays a role in reconstructing the spiritual homeland of modern people. Throughout this process, the essence of Zen tea remains rooted in Chinese Buddhist traditions and relies on the application of Chinese Buddhist art. However, some misapplications have led to the loss of the true spirit of Zen tea. Clarifying the role of Chinese Buddhist art in Zen tea can help us recognize the embodiment of Buddhism's "universal values" in Zen tea culture, explore innovative approaches to applying Buddhist art in Zen tea, and provide new perspectives for the inheritance and development of Zen tea culture.
