본 연구는 한국 사회에서 사회경제적 지위(SES)가 인권침해에 대한 대 응행동에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식 경로분석을 통해 검증하였다. 특히 인권침해 및 차별 경험이 사회경제적 지위와 대응행동 사이를 매개하는 메커니즘을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 2024년 인권의식실태조사 데이터를 활용하여 구조방정식모형(SEM)을 추정한 결과, 다음과 같은 주요 발견을 도출하였다. 첫째, 사회경제적 지위는 인권침해 및 차별 경험에 직접적인 영향을 미치며, 특히 교육수준이 높을수록 인권침해를 더 많이 인지하고 보고하는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 인권침해 경험은 적극적 대응행동을 유의 하게 증가시키는 것으로 나타나 피해 경험이 행동 변화의 중요한 계기가 됨을 확인하였다. 셋째, 인권침해 경험의 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의하 여, 사회경제적 지위가 대응행동에 미치는 영향이 부분적으로 인권침해 경험을 통해 간접적으로 전달됨을 입증하였다. 넷째, 대응행동의 유형(적 극적 대응, 공식적 대응, 무대응)에 따라 경로계수의 크기와 유의성이 상 이하게 나타나, 대응 메커니즘의 다층성을 확인하였다.

This study examines the effect of socioeconomic status (SES) on response behaviors to human rights violations in South Korean society using structural equation modeling (SEM). Applying weighted SEM to data from the 2024 Human Rights Consciousness Survey, the study derived the following key findings. First, SES has a direct effect on experiences of human rights violations; in particular, higher education levels are associated with greater perception and reporting of such violations. Second, experiences of human rights violations significantly increase active response behaviors, confirming that victimization serves as a catalyst for behavioral change. Third, the mediating effect of human rights violation experiences is statistically significant, demonstrating that SES's impact on response behaviors is partially transmitted through these experiences. Fourth, path coefficients vary in magnitude and significance according to response behavior type (active, formal, non-response), confirming the multi-layered nature of response mechanisms.
