Cartodere속은 전 세계적으로 47종으로 구성된다. 이 속은 2개의 아속, Aridius Motschulsky (44종)와 Cartodere Thomson (3종)으로 이루 어진다. 본 연구에서는 Cartodere아속에 속한 C. (s. str.) constricta (Gyllenhal)를 한반도에 최초로 기록한다. 또한, 본 종의 진단형질, 재기재문, 후 행 이명 Lathridius apicalis Blackburn의 정기준표본 사진, 그리고 한반도분포지도를 함께 제공한다.

The genus Cartodere Thomson comprises 47 species worldwide. This group consists of two subgenera: Aridius Motschulsky and Cartodere Thomson, with 44 and three species, respectively. In this study, we record C. (s. str.) constricta (Gyllenhal), belonging to the subgenus Cartodere, for the first time from the Korean Peninsula. In addition, a diagnosis, redescription, images of diagnostic characters, the holotype of Lathridius apicalis Blackburn, a junior synonym of C. (s. str.) constricta (Gyllenhal), and a distribution map are provided.
