This study aimed to analyze differences in job satisfaction according to the Myungri (traditional Korean fortune philosophy) characteristics of workers. The participants consisted of 932 employees in their 30s to 60s. Data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program through frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and One-Way ANOVA. The results of the study were as follows. First, differences in job satisfaction according to seasonal classification were found to be statistically significant. In particular, the group born in summer (夏) showed the highest level of job satisfaction, and a significant mean difference was identified between the summer (夏) group and the spring (春) group. Second, differences in job satisfaction according to Johu-Yongsin were also found to be statistically significant. Specifically, the Metal (金) group perceived the highest level of job satisfaction, whereas the Earth (土) group showed the lowest level of job satisfaction. Third, differences in job satisfaction according to Gyeokguk were not found to be statistically significant. These findings suggest that workers may perceive job satisfaction differently depending on Myungri characteristics such as seasonal classification and Johu-Yongsin. This study is expected to provide foundational data for identifying vocational aptitude according to Myungri characteristics and to contribute practical implications for employment and reemployment support for individuals experiencing difficulties in job seeking.
