The role of Personal Assistants of Persons with Disabilities (PAPDs), who support daily living and social participation of persons with severe disabilities, has become increasingly important. This study aimed to empirically examine the mediating and moderating effects of social support on the relationship between perceived job stress and life satisfaction among PAPDs. To achieve this, a survey was conducted among 400 PAPDs in G Metropolitan City and J Province, and 394 responses were ultimately used for analysis. The results indicated that job stress was negatively correlated with life satisfaction, whereas social support was positively correlated with life satisfaction. Both job stress and social support were identified as significant predictors of life satisfaction. Furthermore, social support demonstrated significant partial mediating effects and moderating effects on the relationship between job stress and life satisfaction. These findings suggest that enhancing life satisfaction among PAPDs requires not only reducing job stress but also strengthening social support from family members, supervisors, and colleagues.
