Reconceptualizing Credit Education from a Financial Welfare Perspective: A Theoretical Framework for Extended Credit Education
This study aims to examine the limitations of conventional credit education, which has centered on individual credit management, and to propose a theoretical framework that extends the concept of credit education from a financial welfare perspective. To this end, the literature on credit education, financial welfare, and social trust was systematically analyzed, and the conceptual relationships among these domains were reconstructed. The analysis reveals that existing credit education is disproportionately focused on individual financial behavior management, failing to adequately encompass recovery and rehabilitation, corporate transactional trust, digital responsibility, and the formation of social trust. Accordingly, this study presents the concept of Extended Credit Education (Credit Education 3.0), which integrates four core domains — personal credit management, recovery and rehabilitation, credit management for enterprises, and social trust education — and provides an analytical framework for designing financial welfare-based education policy.
