이 연구에서는 학급을 하나의 작은 경제 공동체로 설정하고 학생들이 그 안에서 경제 활동 을 경험할 수 있도록 하는 경제 중심의 학급 경영 프로그램에 대한 사례 분석을 실시하였다. 경제교육에 관심 있는 초등학교 4학년 담임교사가 자신의 학급을 대상으로 1년 동안 경제 중심의 학급 경영 프로그램을 운영하였고, 연구자는 해당 프로그램의 운영 보고서를 중심으 로 사례 분석을 시도하였다. 자료 분석을 통해 학급 경영 과정을 크게 5가지로 구분하고, 항목별로 의미 분석을 실시하였다. 학급 조직 및 경제 시스템 구축에서는 경제 제도를 수립 하고 학급 화폐를 만들었으며, 직업 선택과 소득 획득에서는 학생들이 각자 학급 내에서 직업을 가지고 주기적으로 소득을 얻는 과정을 경험할 수 있도록 하였다. 시장 활동에서는 초등 경제교육의 핵심 내용 요소인 가계의 소비와 기업의 생산을 직접적인 활동을 통해 경 험할 수 있도록 하였으며, 세금 제도를 구축하여 세금이 왜 필요한지, 어떻게 사용되는지 등을 학습할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 저축과 투자를 통해 자신의 소득을 소비와 저축에 어느 정도 비중으로 나누고, 얼마 정도의 자금으로 어떻게 투자할 것인지를 합리적으로 판단하는 경험을 할 수 있었다. 경제ㆍ금융교육은 학생들의 일상과 경험이 중요하므로, 장기적으로 경제 중심의 학급 경영 프로그램과 관련된 표준적인 모델이 개발되어 학급이라는 경제 공동 체에서 자연스럽게 경제교육이 이루어지는 기회가 제공되기를 기대한다.

This study conducted a case analysis of a program designed to establish a classroom as a small economic community, allowing students to experience economic activities within it. A fourth-grade homeroom teacher with a keen interest in economic education operated an economy-focused classroom management program for one year, and the researcher analyzed the program's outcomes based on the results and teacher reports. The classroom management process was broadly categorized into five stages: building classroom organization and economic systems by establishing economic rules and creating a classroom currency; job selection and income acquisition by enabling students to hold specific jobs within the classroom and earn a regular income; market activities through which students directly experienced household consumption and corporate production, which are core content elements of elementary economic education; a taxation system to help students understand why taxes are necessary and how they are utilized; and savings and investment providing opportunities to make rational decisions regarding income allocation between consumption and savings, as well as capital investment. Since economic and financial education relies heavily on students' daily lives and experiences, it is expected that a standardized, economy-focused classroom management program will be developed in the long term, thereby providing sustainable opportunities where economic education naturally occurs within the classroom as an economic community.
