국내 코칭 산업의 동향과 미래 전망: 2025년 전문코치 실태조사를 중심으로 KCI 등재
Trends and Future Prospects of the Coaching Industry in Korea: A 2025 Survey of Professional Coaches

본 연구는 지속적으로 양적 성장을 이룬 국내 코칭 산업이 질적 고도화로 나 아가는 전략적 전환기를 맞아, 2025년 코칭 생태계의 전반적인 현황과 수요, 미 래 전망을 심층적으로 진단하고 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 (사)한국코 치협회 자격 보유 코치를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그중 495 명의 유효 표본을 대상으로 자료를 수집해 통계 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 국내 코칭 산업은 40∼50대 고학력 여성 중심의 프리랜서 활 동과 개인코칭 중심으로 성장해왔으나, 대다수(70.5%)의 코치들은 연간 코칭 수 입이 500만 원 미만으로 경제적 기반이 취약하다. 둘째, 코치들은 전문성 강화를 위해 의식 확장을 가장 중시하며, 코칭 슈퍼비전과 심리․상담 과정을 적극적으 로 활용하고 있다. 또한 72.5%가 네트워킹에 참여해 사례와 트렌드를 공유하고 있어, 온·오프라인 커뮤니티의 활성화가 필요하다. 셋째, 코칭 시장은 은퇴예정 자 등을 겨냥한 대중시장(B2C) 확장과 더불어, 사회문제 해결을 위한 공공기관 도입이 요구된다. 성공적인 확장을 위해 코칭 효과의 과학적 입증 및 자격체계 의 표준화와 제도적 발전과 함께 AI와 휴먼 코치 간의 상호보완적 생태계 조성 이 필요하다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 코칭 산업의 지속 가능한 성장 표준과 실행 로드맵 수립을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
This study explores the overall status, demand, and future prospects of the Korean coaching ecosystem in 2025 as the industry transitions toward qualitative advancement. An online survey was conducted among certified coaches of the Korea Coach Association, yielding a valid sample of 495 respondents analyzed using statistical software. First, the domestic coaching industry has grown primarily around freelancers and individual coaching, centered on highly educated women in their 40s and 50s; however, the majority (70.5%) earn an annual coaching income below 5 million KRW, indicating economic instability. Second, coaches prioritize consciousness expansion to enhance professionalism and actively utilize supervision and counseling programs. Additionally, 72.5% engage in networking to share cases and trends, highlighting the need to revitalize both online and offline communities. Third, market expansion requires entering the mass B2C market for prospective retirees alongside adoption in public institutions to address social issues. Successful expansion calls for scientific verification of coaching efficacy, standardized certification systems, and a complementary human-AI ecosystem. These findings serve as foundational data for establishing sustainable growth standards and strategic roadmaps for the future coaching industry.
