Artificial intelligence is increasingly viewed as a strategic tool for strengthening supply chains, yet its adoption and associated performance outcomes vary across firms and country settings. Drawing primarily on dynamic capabilities theory and selectively on the environmental dimension of the Technology–Organization–Environment framework, this study examines the relationships among market dynamism, AI adoption, supply chain resilience, and market performance. Survey data from 297 U.S. and South Korean firms were analyzed using PLS-SEM, mediation analysis, MICOM, and multigroup analysis. In the complete sample, market dynamism was positively associated with AI adoption and supply chain resilience, AI adoption was positively associated with resilience, and resilience was positively associated with market performance. The mediation tests identified significant indirect associations involving AI adoption and resilience. The multigroup analysis showed significant sample differences in the market dynamism–AI adoption, market dynamism–resilience, and resilience–performance relationships. However, the positive AI adoption–resilience relationship did not differ significantly between the samples. The findings position AI adoption as a technology-enabled organizational response associated with resilience while showing that the surrounding relationships vary across country samples.
