본 연구는 영화 <컨택트>에 나타난 미래 인식 구조를 조선 후기 김항의 􋺷정 역􋺸에 나타난 예언 사상과 비교·분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 서로 다른 시대와 문 화적 배경을 지닌 두 텍스트는 미래를 예측해야 할 미지의 영역이 아니라, 의식 의 전환을 통해 인식할 수 있는 이미 존재하는 현실로 이해한다는 공통점을 지 닌다. 본 연구는 <컨택트>의 비선형적 시간관과 􋺷정역􋺸의 선천·후천 구조를 비 교함으로써 예언을 미래 사건의 예측이 아니라 시간 의식의 전환 과정으로 재 해석하였다. 또한 􋺷정역􋺸은 미래를 예견하는 텍스트가 아니라 시간, 현실, 인간 존재를 새롭게 이해하는 철학적 틀을 제시한다는 점을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 본 연 구는 전통 동아시아 사상과 현대 SF 영화가 공유하는 시간 철학의 접점을 조명 하고, 종교학·문학·영화학을 아우르는 학제적 연구의 가능성을 제시하였다.

This study compares the structure of future perception in the film Arrival with the prophetic thought of Jeongyeok, developed by Kim Hang in late Joseon Korea. Despite their different historical and cultural contexts, both texts understand the future not as an unknown realm to be predicted but as an existing reality perceived through transformed consciousness. By examining the nonlinear temporality of Arrival alongside the pre-heaven/post-heaven structure of Jeongyeok, this study reinterprets prophecy as a transformation of temporal consciousness rather than the prediction of future events. It further argues that Jeongyeok provides a new framework for understanding time, reality, and human existence, highlighting shared philosophical perspectives between traditional East Asian thought and contemporary science fiction cinema.
