W. B. Yeats is an important Irish poet whose poems have been introduced to China since 1920s and exerted great influence on Chinese poetry, especially on Mu Dan and Yuan Kejia, two of the Nine-Leaves Poets. Through a comparative study, the paper discovers that while forming his own poetic style Mu Dan got much inspiration from Yeats and that Yuan Kejia formed his poetic theory by taking nutrition from Yeats.
