태산은 중국 산악문화의 으뜸으로서, 태산에 관한 기록은 선진 시대로 거슬러 올라가 명․청대에 이르러 성황을 이룬다. 하지만, 학계에서 관심을 받기 시작한 것은 20세기에 진입한 후이다. 본고는 태산문화연구의 회고와 전망을 3장으로 나누어 시론하였다. 1장에서는 20세기의 태산문화연구를 회고하고, 2장에서는 신세기 이후의 태산문화연구의 성과에 대해 정리하였으며, 마지막 3장에서는 앞으로 전개할 태산문화연구의 방향과 계획에 대해 기술하였다.

As a representative of Mountain culture, Mount Tai’s description and discussing can be dated from pre-qin dynasty, bloomed in Ming and Qing Dynasties. But its beginning of entering Modern Academic Visual Field started from the Twentieth Century. This dissertation made three analyses on the Retrospect and Prospect of Mount Tai Cultural Studies: The first part, made a brief retrospect of Mount Tai Culture of the Twentieth Century; The second part, mainly commented on Mount Tai Culture Research Results of the Twentieth Century; The third part, prospected the Mount Tai cultural orientation and topic selections
