The color was least changed in Korean and China hwasunjis, in the case of absorbtion papers and silica gel treatment. The color was less changed in flower sheets, window papers, and China hwasunjis, and was most changed in newspapers, in the case of absorbtion papers and Na2SO4 treatment. The color was least changed in China hwasunjis, and most changed in dampened papers, in the case of absorbtion papers and CaO treatment. The color tended to change far from the original one, as treatment time got longer, in the case of 0.01M and 0.lM of tartaric acid. The longer the treatment time and the bigger the concentration of ethyl alcohol, the bigger flower color.

한라산 백록담내의 고산식물 59종류를 대상으로 생활형, 화색, 개화시기, 그리고 종자의 성숙시기 등을 조사하여 화훼자원으로의 개발가능성을 조사하였다. 백록담내 고산식물의 생활형은 반지중식물이 67.8%로 대부분을 차지하여 전형적인 고산식물의 생활형 분포를 보여주고 있다. 개화는 전반적으로 7∼8월에 이루어지며, 종자는 8∼9월에 집중적으로 성숙되는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편 고산식물의 화색은 백색이 27% (16종)로 가장 많고, 백색, 청색, 황색 꽃의 출현빈도가 대체로 높게 나타났다.

길경의 화색에 따른 생육특성과 수량 및 품질에 차이가 나타나는지 그리고 재배년차에 따른 길경의 뿌리생육과 수량 및 사포닌과 정유함량 등에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 실험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 백화길경이 자화길경에 비해 줄기수, 꼬투리수, 초장, 종자수량과 같은 지상부 생육과 생근중, 건근중, 근장 및 근직경 등과 같은 뿌리 형질에서 다소 높은 경향을 보였으나 유의차는 없었다. 또한 사포닌 함량이나 정유 함량에도 차이가 없었다. 2. 2년생과 3년생에서 초장은 차이가 없었으나 개체당 줄기수와 꼬투리수는 3년생에서 많았다. 생근중, 근장 및 근직경은 3년생에서 높았다. 사포닌 함량과 정유함량은 2년생과 3년생간에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 사포닌 함량은 2년생, 3년생 모두에서 5월에 채취한 것이 가장 높았고 9월에 채취한 것이 가장 낮았다. 정유함량은 8월에 채취한 것이 가장 높은 함량을 보였고 4월에 채취한 것이 가장 낮았다.

The seasonal flower, leaf and fruit color characterlstics of deciduous woody landscape plants were investigated through the field survey in Suwon, Korea from January 1, 1992 toMarch 20, 1993.The results were as follows ;1. There were 12 cases in the combination of leaf spreading, anthesis, deblossom, fruit coloring,fruit falling, fall foliage coloring and leaf falling of deciduous woody landscape plants(163 spe-cies) investigated. And species of the leaf spreading, anthesis, deblossom, fall foliage coloringand leaf falling were 71(43.9%). And species of the leaf spreading, anthesis, deblossom,fruit coloring, fall foliage coloring, leaf falling and fruit falling were 40(24.5% ).2. The total continuing period of the flowering, fall foliage coloring and fruit coloring of decid-uous woody landscape plants(79 species) investigated varied from 2 months to more than 9months. And the species over 3 months below 4 months were 23(29.2%).3. There were 24 cases in the combination of color of flower, fall foliage and fruit of deciduouswoody landscape plants(79 species) investigated. And the species of the white flower, red fall fo-liage and red fruit were 16(20.3% ).
