        “Kong shou” is one of basic Worship on bended knees in ancient China. There are various opinions on the explanation of “Kong shou”. In the present study, many doubtful points were deeply analysed, and the data of related images were used to confirm the “kong shou” etiquette action. The analysis results have showed that all the statements are inaccurate. Based on the image data, we reinterpreted “kong show” as follows: the person kneeled his both knees and placed hands together above the front of the knees, with the hands staying at a certain distance from the ground, while the palms were keeping upward and the head moved towarding to the hand. The person’s head closed to his hands and kept a certain space between the head and the hands. Therefore, the name of “kong shou” originates from that someone make an action of “Kong Shou”, his head does not reach the hands and kept interspace between them.
