A criminal profiling is an attempt to provide some personality and behavioral clues about an offender based on the presentation of their behavior and the evidence they leave. The aim of criminal profiling is providing the client agency with the characteristics and traits of an unidentified offender that differentiate him from the general population. The methods of criminal profiling are criminal investigative analysis, investigative psychology, geographic profiling, behavioral evidence analysis.
