A diverse of recommendation has been made for the structure and management of dairy cows, despite demanding research, the relationship between lactation number and various factors is yet to be established. The present study was aimed to investigate the covariance among lactation number, growth performance, calving interval, and milk production was considered to increase an efficiency of selection schemes and to manage more efficiently Holstein dairy cows that have been raised on small-scale family farms in Republic of Korea. For that purpose, the data were observed from 850 Holstein dairy cows, which a total of 3929 milking, since April 2016 - January 2017. We measured the body weight, height, age, calving interval, and milk production of the each dairy cow. Also, information about the date of lactation, calving interval, and milk production was recorded using an automatic milking system(AMS) with identification numbers. Milk production was calculated per udder quarter in the AMS. Our study results showed the increased average body weight(p>0.05) in 1, 2, 3, and 4th lactating dairy cows and afterwards, we noticed the tendency on the average body weight(p<0.05) per lactation progressed. There was no significant difference noticed on height measurement of dairy cows. From the processing data of 850 Holstein dairy cows, the lactation number 1 and 7 had a greater calving interval with significantly lowered milk production, and the lactation number 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 had significantly lowered the calving interval(p<0.05) with a greater milk production. From our study results, we evidenced that there is a significant relationship between the lactation number, growth performance, calving interval, and milk yield, and the maximum production of milk occurring in the 3rd and 4th lactation dairy cows. The achieved results from this study can be used by the small-scale farmers to encourage the structure and management of growth performance, calving interval, and milk yield in Holstein dairy cows in Korea.

This research has been conducted in order to assess the effects on quality management factor of the construction sites. 30 companies abiding by the 'construction industry law' and 32 companies abiding by the 'housing construction promotion law' have been researched in areas of quality-management environment, quality-management understanding, quality-management education on construction field, quality-system and quality-improvement. This construction quality factors are to realized the anticipated results not only quality level's increasing, but also company's confidence, competitiveness. We were able to obtain participations of 62 questionnaire, and derived statistics by means of SPSS/PC version 10.0. In this study, we find the bottleneck factor for promotion and upgrade quality management factor of the construction sites and suggest a way out of difficulties.

This paper proposed a new method for estimating missing values in time series rainfall data. The proposed method integrated the two most widely used estimation methods, general linear model(GLM) and ordinary kriging(OK), by taking a weighted average of covariance matrices derived from each of the two methods. The proposed method was cross-validated using daily rainfall data at thirteen rain gauges in the Hyeong-san River basin. The goodness-of-fit of the proposed method was higher than those of GLM and OK, which can be attributed to the weighting algorithm that was designed to minimize errors caused by violations of assumptions of the two existing methods. This result suggests that the proposed method is more accurate in missing values in time series rainfall data, especially in a region where the assumptions of existing methods are not met, i.e., rainfall varies by season and topography is heterogeneous.
We compared equilibrium evaporation(Eequili) eddy-covariance(Eequili) with soil moisture data(ESMseries) which were measured with a 2 hours sampling interval at three points for a humid forest hillslope from May 5th to May 31th in 2009. Accumulations of Eeddy, Eequili for the study period were estimated as 2.52, 3.28 mm and those of ESMseries were ranged from 1.91 to 2.88 mm. It suggested that the eddy-covariance method considering the spatial heterogeneity of soil evaporation is useful to evaluate the soil evaporation. Method A, B and C were proposed using mean meterological data and daily moisture variation and the computations were compared to eddy-covariance method and equilibrium evaporation. The methods using soil moisture data can describe the variations of soil evaporation from eddy-covariance through simple moving average analysis. Method B showed a good matched with eddy-covariance method. This indicated that Dry Surface Layer (DSL) at 14:00 which was used for method B is important variable for the evaluation of soil evaporation. The total equilibrium evaporation was not significantly different to those of the others. However, equilibrium evaporation showed a problem in estimating soil evaporation because the temporal tendency of Eequili was not related with the those of the other methods. The improved understanding of the soil evaporation presented in this study will contribute to the understandings of water cycles in a forest hillslope.
Satellite operating agencies are constantly monitoring conjunctions between satellites and space objects. Two line element (TLE) data, published by the Joint Space Operations Center of the United States Strategic Command, are available as raw data for a preliminary analysis of initial conjunction with a space object without any orbital information. However, there exist several sorts of uncertainties in the TLE data. In this paper, we suggest and analyze a method for estimating the uncertainties in the TLE data through mean, standard deviation of state vector residuals and covariance matrix. Also the estimation results are compared with actual results of orbit determination to validate the estimation method. Characteristics of the state vector residuals depending on the orbital elements are examined by applying the analysis to several satellites in various orbits. Main source of difference between the covariance matrices are also analyzed by comparing the matrices. Particularly, for the Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-2, we examine the characteristics of the residual variation of state vector and covariance matrix depending on the orbital elements. It is confirmed that a realistic consideration on the space situation of space objects is possible using information from the analysis of mean, standard deviation of the state vector residuals of TLE and covariance matrix.
Analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) is frequently applied in educational research ignoring the fact that when the assumption of the homogeneity of regression slope within group is violated, ANCOVA is not an appropriate procedure any more. Teachers or researche
