In case of a low speed gearing in the automatic transmission, since the torque is increased, it is difficult to secure a good feeling on gear shift of transmission. It is possible to improve the shift feeling on transmission by applying a one-way clutch in case of the gear shift from the first stage to the second stage. But in case of the gear shift from the second stage to the third stage, it is difficult to secure a good feeling on gear shift of transmission because the hydraulic components are directly controlled simultaneously. In this study, a shift performance of an automatic transmission was investigated as a basic study to solve these problems. The subjects of this study are 2-3 step upshifting gearing process and the performance data such as the pressure characteristics and torque of the transmission according to the amount of the throttle valve opening are analyzed on basis of experiment with an actual vehicle. As a result, the transient time of the shift is closely related to the amount of the throttle valve, opening and the time point at which the shifting ends is shortened when the throttle valve opening reaches 30% of the opening amount.

By performing a statistical change-point analysis of activities of the tropical cyclones (TCs) that have affected Korea (K-TCs), it was found that there was a significant change between 1983 and 1984. During the period of 1984-2004 (P2), more TCs migrated toward the west, recurved in the southwest, and affected Korea, compared to the period of 1965-1983 (P1). These changes for P2 were related to the southwestward expansion of the subtropical western North Pacific high (SWNPH) and simultaneously elongation of its elliptical shape toward Korea. Because of these changes, the central pressure and lifetime of K-TC during P2 were deeper and longer, respectively, than figures for P1. This stronger K-TC intensity for P2 was related to the more southwestward genesis due to the southwestward expansion of the SWNPH. The weaker vertical wind shear environment during P2 was more favorable for K-TC to maintain a strong intensity in the mid-latitudes of East Asia.

The Dry Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) consists of a driving pulley and a driven pulley joined by a rubber V-belt. An each pulley consists of a fixed flange and a movable flange. The movable flange of the driving pulley has the centrifugal roller and a ramp plate in the flange. The movable flange moves toward a fixed flange under the actuation of a centrifugal roller, as the driving pulley speed increases. In this study, the function and the relationship of the all parts in the Dry CVT are investigated. The profile of movable flange is analyzed. The effect of axial force is also analyzed by speed ratio and load torque.

This study, in order to complement instability of analysis result stemming from the choice between reference point and comparison point which is pointed out as the defect of shift-share analysis, conducted shift-share analysis using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) trend of Geumgang area, Chungcheongnam-do for the period from 2000 to 2011. As a result of the analysis, ➀ industries that had both the positive Regional Share Effect (RSE) and Industrial Mixed Effect (IME) were service industries such as manufacturing industry, electricity gas, transportation industry, art, etc., which are positively influencing the regional industry. ➁ industries that had both the negative RSE and IME were other service industries such as wholesale and retail businesses, lodging industry, food industry, real estate business and leasing service, business service industry, public administration, etc., which provide basic livelihood services for the residents. ➂ industries that had the positive RSE and negative IME were agriculture, forestry and fishery industry, mining industry, construction industry, and educational service industry. ➃ industries that had the negative RSE and positive IME were info-communications industry, financial and insurance businesses, health industry, etc.
