Transverse joints on upper flange of modular T-shaped girder bridge are composed of lapped splice and in-situ high strength concrete. Optimal shape induced by finite element analysis through the shape parameters.
The main objective of this paper is to investigate the static behavior of a prestressed concrete (PSC) girder. The monolithic girder has the same geometric and material properties with respect to the splice girder. In this study transverse prestressing method was treated to connect girders as an application of modular technology, and various experiments were performed to measure a connection capacity and to evaluate structural behaviors between double T-girder.
