Coccoidea are some of the most potentially detrimental pests for agriculture and ornamental plant industries worldwide, including in Laos. Between January 2015 and August 2016, scale insects were collected on variety of hosts. Previously, the known Coccoidea fauna of Laos comprised 35 species. These most recent collections boost the tally to 49 species belonging to 5 families of Coccoidea. Among these, 19 species are here recorded from Laos for the first time: [Coccidae] Ceroplastes floridensis,Ceroplastes rubens, Coccus capparidis, Drepanococcus chiton, Megapulvinaria maxima, Pulvinaria psidii, Saissetia coffeae; [Diaspididae] Aonidiella citrina, Aonidiella inornata, Fiorinia coronate, Lepidosaphes tokionis, Parlatoria proteus; [Lecanodiaspididae] Psoraleococcus multipori; [Monophlebidae], Icerya aegyptiaca; [Pseudococcidae], Phenacoccus madeirensis, Planococcus ficus, Pseudococcus aurantiacus, Pseudococcus baliteus and Rastrococcus jabadiu. All of these newly recorded species occur elsewhere in south-east or east Asia, including countries contiguous with Laos.

한국산 재주나방과를 정리한 결과 1신속 및 1신종(Lophontomira parki sp. nov.)을 기재하고 한반도 미기록종 3종(Harpyia tokui Sugi, Drymonia japonica Wileman, P. jesoensis Matsumura), 남한 미기록종 3종(Hemifentonia mandschurica Oberth., Dicranura ulmi tsvetaevi Schintlmeister et Sviridov, Nerice Leechi Staudinger)을 동정 하였으며, 이들을 포함한 재주나방과 주요 17종에 대한 분포와 분류학적 자료를 정리하였다. 또한 Dicranura tsvetaevi Schintlmeister et Sviridov의 생식기를 검경한 결과 이종을 D. ulmi Dennis. et Schiffermuller의 아종으로 처리하였다.

꼽등이과의 Aemodogrllinae아과 5종이 한반도산으로 정리되었으며, 그 중 Paratachycines ussuriensis Storozhenko, Tachycines asynamorus Adelung은 우리나라 미기록종이었다. Diestrammena unicolor unicolor Brunner-Watt와 Tachycines coreauns Yamasaki 2종에 대한 형태학적 변이가 관찰.조사되었다.

지난 20여년간 북한지역에서 채집된 장님노린재과는 그동안 본인등에 의해 50여종이 신종으로 발표되었었다. 금번의 정리에서 총 67종이 분류동정 되었으며 그중 28종이 한반도 미기록종이었다.

북한지역에서 채집조사된 줄날도래상과는 총 6과 39종이 분류동정되였다. 그중 Philopotamidae 과의 2종, <Warmaldia coreana sp. nov., W. longicera sp. nov.>, Stenopsychidae과의 1종 <Stenopsyche U variavilis sp. nov.>, Psychomylidae과의 3종 <Paduniella martynovi sp. nov., Psychomyiella 7 myohyangsanica sp. nov., P. cruciata sp. nov.> 그리고 Ecnomidae과의 1종 <Ecnomus tsudai sp. nov.> 등 7종을 신종으로 기재, 발표하며, 10종의 미기록종과 Paduniella속이 한반도에서는 처음으로 보고된다. 또한 처음으로 Stenopsyche marmorata Navas등 9종의 암수컷 생식기를 관찰, 도해하였다.

현재까지 남한에서 채집된 표본과 폴랜드의 동물계통분류진화연구소에 보관된 북한산 표본을 대상으로 분류.동정한 결과, 한국산 무늬잎말이나방족은 총 39종으로 정리된다. 이중 북한산 2종이 신종으로 새로이 기록되며 11종의 미기록종이 우리나라에서는 처음으로 보고된다.
