‘씨엔알스호프’ 품종은 전남대학교 화훼원예학 실험실에서2014년도에 육성한 절화용 알스트로메리아 신품종이다. 이품종은 2009년 화색이 백색인 orchid-type Alstroemeria ‘Irena’ (A08) (RoyalVanZanten Co.)을 모본으로 하고 백색 orchid-type Alstroemeria Alstroemeria ‘Finesse’ (A21)(RoyalVanZanten Co.)을 부본으로 교배한 후 배주배양을통해 2010년도 실생을 양성하였다. 화색과 화형이 우수한계통을 예비선발 하였으며 2011부터 2012년까지 특성검정결과 절화특성이 우수한 C176계통(씨엔알스호프)을 최종 선발하였다. 화색은 백색(RHS Color Chart White GroupN155C)이다. 절화 형태로 개화한다. 화폭은 5.01cm이며 화고가 5.17cm이고 분지 수는 5.33개이며 향기는 없다. 식물체 길이는 80.94cm, 줄기 굵기는 6.93cm이며 잎의 수는 16.22개이다. 절화수량은 주당 11.54개/pot이고 절화수명은 21.33일이다. ‘씨엔알스호프’와 대비품종 모두 염색체 32개로 4배체(2n=4x=32)였다. 화분 크기는 99.8um±13.13였으며 대비품종 화분 크기는 105.6µm±13.7로 두 품종의화분 크기에 통계적 차이가 있었다. 신품종 ‘씨엔알스호프’는 2014년 11월 25일에 국립종자원에 품종보호권등록(품종보호-제5192호)이 되었다.
Alstroemeria ‘Cnalshope’, the first Alstroemeriacultivar developed domestically, was bred in 2014 atChonnam National University. In 2009, white orchid-typeAlstroemeria ‘Irena’ and white orchid-type Alstroemeria‘Finess’ were crossed, and progenies were obtainedthrough ovule culture in 2010. We screened for excellentflower color and shape in the field trial during 2011 and2012, and finally selected breeding line C176. The flowercolor is white (RHS Color Chart White Group N155C) andflower type is cut flower type. Flower width and height are5.01cm and 5.17cm respectively. Average number offlowers per inflorescence is 5.33 and is scentless. Averageplant height and stem thickness are 80.94cm and 6.93cmrespectively. Leaf number per stem was 16.22. Averageyield and vase life were 11.54/pot/week and 21.33 daysrespectively. Chromosome number of ‘Cnalshope’ and referencecultivar ‘Chicago’ was counted 32, identifying both cultivar astetraploid. Pollen sizes of ‘Cnalshope’ and ‘Chicago’ were99.8µm±13.13 and 105.6µm±13.7 respectively, depictingstatistical difference. New Alstroemeria cultivar ‘Cnalshope’ wasregistered at Korea Seed and Variety Service (plant varietyprotection number: 5192).
