The effect of steel fiber types on the self-sensing capacity of strain-hardening fiber-reinforced cementitious composites (SH-SFRCs) was investigated. Three types of fiber, including twisted, smooth and hooked fibers, were used with a volume content of 1.5% in a mortar matrix. Although all the SH-SFRCs exhibited self damage-sensing capacity, the gauge factor, representing for damage-sensing ability, was different according to the types of fiber as follows: twisted (138.09) > smooth (99.85) > hooked (88.50). The SH-SFRC with twisted fiber produced the highest gauge factor which is very favorable for development of self damage-sensor.

The purpose of this study is to estimate and quantify the effect of carbonation of concrete on a surface electrical resistivity measurement. Samples of three mixes with difference W/C ratios were prepared and exposed in a carbonation chamber for up to 330 days. The results show that carbonation leads high electrical resistivity. The increase is substantial and has been shown to proportional to the extent of the carbonation by some of extent. The relationship between electrical resistivity and carbonation depth is taken in the study. Resistivity ratio of carbonated concrete to air concrete decreased significantly from the specific carbonation depth, however, Resistivity ratio of carbonated concrete to air concrete had a linear relation with carbonation depth.

Traditionally main driving force of chloride penetration in concrete have been regarded as diffusion, however, large construction such as tunnel elements and foundations for bridges can be placed on large sea water depths where the water pressure is fairly different from the pressure in the splash zone. Moreover, hydrostatic pressure increases in proportional to measured depth from the surface of water because of the increasing weight of water exerting downward force from above. In this study, new experiment method to estimate chloride penetration of concrete under water pressure is introduced. The bond performance of Latex modified concrete(LMC) is excellent when compared with conventional pavement concrete. But LMC have a several problems. In order to improve the problem of LMC, Remicon latex modified concrete(Remicon LMC) was developed. In this study, the surface scaling resistance and bond properties of Remcion LMC containing extra admixture was compared with latex ratio. From the results, when latex and admixture were mixed in concrete, bond strength was improved. And, the surface scaling resistance of Remicon LMC was quite good comparing to LMC. The surface scaling resistance of Remicon LMC mixed latex ratio 8% more showed the equivalent capacity of LMC.

The influence of mineral admixture content on the bleeding of cement-based grouts. Replacement of fly ash increased the bleeding, but the increase of the content of blast furnace slag as well as silica fume led to the reduction in the bleeding. Especially 15% replacement of silica fume showed the best performance against normal bleeding as well as channel bleeding.

These days structures with ultra high strength concrete and steel are increasing because of the rising demands for high-rise buildings and long span bridges. The techniques of high strength material has been developed rapidly, as they have a lot of benefits such as the reduction of the amount. In this paper, we performed the basic research of practical application examples of the bridge and the structural characteristics of ultra-high-strength concrete and steel strand.

This paper reported the effect of blended activator on the compressive strength of alkali-activated slag cement(AASC) mortar. The alkalis combinations made using sodium hydroxide(NaOH), calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and potassium hydroxide(KOH) with calcium carbonate(CaCO3). The compressive strength was increase as the dosage of caustic alkali increase.

In this research, Crushed-stone sludge obtained from production processing of crushed aggregates were recycled to manufacture artificial aggregate. Compressive strength , Elastic modulus, Splitting strength, Flexural strength and freeze/thaw, Carbonation test were conducted for artificial aggregate concrete. The results showed that compressive strength and freeze/thaw and depth of carbonation resistance of concrete using crushed-stone sludge aggregate were higher than those of concrete using normal crushed stone. but elastic modulus, splitting and flexural strength were lower than those of concrete using normal crushed-stone

This study investigated the durability of Green SHCC. The accelerated carbonation and electrical indication of ability to resist chloride ion penetration tests were performed. The test results compared to general concrete showed that the carbonation resistance and chloride ion penetration resistance of Green SHCC presents equivalent level of performance.

In this study, the hydration characteristics of low heat concrete with respect to the binder type are investigated experimentally. According to research results, TBC(Ternary Blended Cement)1, 2 applied low heat concrete, the heat of hydration was found to be reduced and the 28 days compressive strength was superior to that of FAC(Fly Ash Cement).

To evaluate the durability characteristics of low permeable concrete using ground granulated blast-furnace slag with fineness 4,650 cm2/g, carbonation depth was measured. From the test results, persisting period of that was calculated. And it was found that carbonation depth of concrete was proceed 29.5 mm for 100 years.

This paper described the correlation between compressive and flexural toughness of SFRC(Steel fiber reinforced concrete). Experiment was conducted to evaluate the correlation SFRC specimens with different aggregate sizes (8mm, 13mm, 20mm) and fiber volume fraction (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%). For the measurement of compressive and flexural toughness using ACI committee and ASTM C 1018 procedure. Test results indicated that the addition of steel fiber improves flexural and compressive performance of high-strength concrete. Also smaller aggregate size improve the mechanical properties of high fiber volume fraction SFRC.

As the results of study, heat reduction ratio of concrete block increase as PCM content was increased. When considering the heat reduction properties and mechanical properties of concrete block, the proper content of PCM is thought to be 2.5%.

As the results of study, void ratio of composite decrease as binder/agg. ratio was increased. And compressive strength increase as binder/agg. ratio was increased. When considering the void ratio, compressive strength and skid resistance of composite for protecting cover plate of roadside tree, the proper content of biner/agg. ratio are thought to be 2.0~2.5%

In this study, trying to applying in structure and slab and wall of technical of near-surface transit system, we would make precast concrete for constructing rapidly to diversify subject about lightweight concrete. for this purpose, we experimented lightweight aggregate centrally expected to be applied in this research and would like to suggest fundamental data for manufacturing products as a level of 30, 50MPa precast concrete.
