Since deteriorated bridge increases each year in Korea and Japan, the study was conducted for the direction of improving reinforcement and conservation for RC deck t because common facts in damaged RC deck is that crack was found in direction 1 and direction 2 that the crack leads to compound damage.

This study relates to a crack repair techniques in the concrete structure. In order to develop repair material containing self-healing agents, smart repair methods were investigated. For the micro cracks of less than 0.3 ㎜, new repair method of surface treatment was suggested by the simple crack repair stick. In case of over 0.3 ㎜ cracks, injection method using inorganic materials was suggested for drying shrinkage and water leakage.

This paper describes the effect of norton tape and boundary sealant on structural performance of structural sealant glazing(SSG) system. A total 3 specimens were made and tested under four point loading condition. In this study, it was found that norton tape and boundary sealant considerably affects the structural performance of SSG system.

과거에는 생애주기에 기반 유지관리 계획에 대한 인식이 부족하였기 때문에 검측자료의 축적은 이루어졌으나 이러한 검측 자료를 이용한 구성품의 수명예측 및 보수보강 시나리오 선정 등 유지관리 의사결정 지원을 위해 사용되지는 못하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자료 분석을 위한 궤도 검측 데이터 필터링 및 정제기법을 개발하고, 검측데이터 분석 기법 적용을 통한 궤도의 성능 평가 지표 결정, 다변수 구간특성 및 환경인자를 고려한 레일 마모 및 궤도 틀림에 대한 민감도 분석, 파형과 파장을 고려한 검측데이터 분석 등을 수행하였으며, 이러한 연구 결과를 기반으로 하여 검측된 레일 마모데이터를 이용한 불확실성 기반 궤도성능 예측모델 개봘과 관련한 연구를 수행하였다.

A road paved concrete in a runway is happened deterioration by high heat with jet engine and friction that is about 380 ℃. Therefore, In this study tested the heat stress to use section maintenance on a runway of a modification sulfur concrete. The results, compressive strength, bond strength, abrasion resistance and skid resistance has decreased each 17, 15, 56 and 3 percent as heat stress before and after.

Creep Factor using the temperature data can be measured during construction of the PSC more accurate construction of the bridge to enhance the reliability of configuration management. In addition, even sag configuration management using the temperature data without installing the expensive laser displacement meter to be installed for the deflection calculation is expected to be applied.

This study is to investigate the waterproofing effects on the splice length of the waterproofed sheet. A Total of 10 specimens were produced and tested in order to investigate the waterproofing effects for reinforced concrete members. Test variables are the lengths of splice, the attachment method of waterproofed sheet and existence of mesh. The splices’ length set as 5%, 6.6%, and 10% of waterproofed sheet’s width. Two ways of Epoxy adhesion and hot-melt were used. Also, the mesh put to enhance the adhesion capacity between waterproofed sheets. The results of the experimental test, the specimens which composed with splice length over 6.6% of waterproofed sheet, epoxy adhesion constructed and with/without mesh did not showed water leakage. Whereas, the specimen of splice length under 5% and epoxy applied showed water leakage. In addition, the specimen with mesh (BE-S1-M1) proved less water leakage than the one without mesh (BE-S1-M0).

Both expansion joints under temperature load and bridge bearings are frequently damaged by insufficient laying space generated by temperature expansion. There are some types of breakage, such as the crack in non-shrink mortar, fracture of bearing anchor bolt, and the damage caused longitudinal direction movement. This study presents a comparative approach to how much temperature load in curved bridge has effect on pot bearings and isolation bearings. Though the deflection of the two kinds of bearings is a little different, the reaction force on isolation bearings is much smaller than the other ones. The study concludes that isolation bearings are more suitable for diminishing the possibility of damage.

By attaching the adhesive retrofit material using wire and nylon to masonry walls, the changes in the shear strength of the walls were examined through experiments. In the experiment results, when the adhesion of the adhesive retrofit material was secured, the shear strength and the yield displacement ratio of the masonry walls were largely improved, and the falling of the walls did not happen, which has verified the retrofitting effect of the adhesive retrofit material.

Prevention methods for lateral movement of abutment include increasing the bearing capacity of foundation, improving the soft ground and reducing the external loads. These methods are usually adopted prior to the bridge construction. However, it is not easy for them to be applied to the bridge during common use. Because they are not only difficult to be constructed, but also potential causes of stability of the bridge. Instead, counterweight fill, grouting and permanent anchorage can be considered as alternatives when the lateral movement of abutment occurs. Among them, grouting has been adopted a lot recently. In this study, analysis is carried out to review the reinforcement effect of grouting method.

In bridge lifting apparatus by using the existing pressure control, unequal lifting inevitably occur due to non-uniform load of the upper structure. In order to solve this problem safety of bridge lifting apparatus using flow control system was evaluated. As a result, the load of each supports for bridge upper structure is measured at the range of 1,098 ~ 2,362 kN and lifting displacement uncertainty was within 0.5 mm observing not any cracks.

Membrane structure is a system that is stabilized by maintaining a tensile state of the membrane material that originally cannot resist the bending or pressure. Thus, it is important to accurately understand the size of the membrane tension after the completion of the structure, for maintenance and management purposes. The author of this paper measured the tension of preexisting membrane structure for its maintenance purpose by using the developed portable measurement equipment. Through analyzing the measurement data, the author check the points that should be improved and the technical method for the new maintenance system of membrane tension.

Deformation monitoring of dams has been widely used for its safety management. In this study, improvement of the deformation monitoring with a total station was suggested by calibrating coordinate of a total station. The position of TS was initially measured through 3∼4 given points and the coordinate of total station was considered as an absolute value. However, when the targeting point was measured by the total station, the coordinate of the total station was changed and it means that deformation of the total station was also occurred. Therefore, the deformation of dams was increased by deformation of the total station. Before the calibrating, the deformation of the target point located at 50m from total station was ±20mm. After the calibrating, the deformation was decreased by ±2mm.

In this study, a novel bridge weigh-in-motion system based on pseudo-static deflection extracted from the measured dynamic displacement while a truck overpasses the bridge is proposed and its feasibility is experimentally verified through a series of driving tests with a heavy duty truck on an operating bridge.

This paper aims at developing a methodology for estimating the bridge life based on a deterioration model associated with inspection accuracy. This study used condition rating results of bridges and developed a non-linear regression model taking into account the IRI (Inspection Reliability Index).

In this study, the damages detections were carried out using artificial neural networks for super tall building. In the results of detections, the damage locations and extents were similar to the actual damages. The accuracy is expected to increase as the number of learning case is larger.

Recently efficient maintenance technology has been rising because of the structural deterioration. Specific technology development and research related to the real-time monitoring has been conducted in various ways. All-in-one enclosure including GPS was fabricated to measure the displacement of the retaining wall structure exposed the extreme environment such as very high and low temperature. Also it measured the displacement of the structure under the phased construction.

Currently in Korea, there are about 1200 dam (height 15m or more) Recently, natural disasters are caused by abnormal climate and they have caused a lot of damage. but many institutions about dam don’t resolve this problem because dam was owned and managed by other institutions. Therefore, to develop Web2.0 Smart Management System, it will be possible to combine different institutions and do efficiently intelligent management of dam.
