The flexural capacity of concrete beams with high compressive strength of 80 MPa is described. This study aims to investigate the structural behavior of concrete beams such as crack patterns, failure mode, load-deflection relationship, moment-curvature relationship and strains in concrete.

This study is a result of the dynamic characteristics of the tall building using real time structural health monitoring system. The monitoring system consist of an anemometer, accelerometers, GPS and internet-based data logging system. Steel box girder has not only an excellent constructability but is also a lightweight structure. Compression flanges of steel box girder under negative moment need stiffeners to increase buckling strength, thereby increasing the construction cost. In this study, compression flanges using trapezoidally bended plates were investigated to replace existing flat flanges.

This study was examined to the shear friction applied compressive stress at construction joint and monolithic joint with or without transverse reinforcement. The analysis of test results were compared with ACI 318 code. The reduction ratio of the shear friction strength regardless of construction joint were similar with ACI 318 code. The relative slip amount at the peak of shear stress on the all of the specimens was increased about 33% by the transverse reinforcement.

This study investigated the behavior of newly-developed circular steel girder over bridge. The traditional bridge is a simple span with the maximum span length about 7.0m. The proposed bridge is sequenced by extending a steel tube girder and reducing the number of infrastructure. It can make to improve constructability and save cost. In this study, we conducted a finite element analysis of the behavior of the main part, and aimed to check the compliance of allowable stress.

Some researchers suggested that bolt slippage occurred in column-tree connection type. In this paper, bolt slippage was evaluated on different depth of beam. When the length of beam set 7,500 mm equally, three depth of beams was 600, 500, 400mm, respectively. Also, column size of all specimens was same, and panel zones was strongly reinforced to evaluate bolt slippage in beams. As a result of full-scale testing, the bolt slippage of all specimens was occurred within plastic rotation ± 2.0%. It was showed that the effect of bolt slippage on depth of beam was slight.

The connection parts of electric distribution cable can be damaged by wind and various types of outer loads. So, the reasonable connection system is required to solve these problems. Therefore, this study presents the composition type of self-tensioning connection system for electric distribution cable.

The ductility properties of RC members are influenced by the strength of each materials as well as amount of reinforcing bar. In this study, the ductility factor has analytically been calculated in rectangular RC beam and the effects of each material strength on the ductility of RC member have been evaluated.

In this study, judging criteria of buckling modes and theoretical functions of several researchers are compared with experimental studies to obtain valid buckling values of corrugated steel plates. The results shows that the judging criterion of Moon J. (2003) is the most reasonable criterion among those of several researchers. The theoretical function of Moon, J. (2008) in the local and the global buckling mode and that of Cafolla, J. (1997) and that of Hyun, K. (2003) in the interactive buckling mode provide proper buckling values of corrugated steel plates.

It analyzed the construction cost of reinforcement in the railway bridge abutment, changing friction angle which is important factor in the railway bridge abutment design. In this study, As the friction angle was increasing, the member force that acts on bridge abutment footing decreases. In order to apply the mechanical deck joint to the prefabricated steel gird composite decks, shear resistance of the joint composed of concrete shear key and high-tension bolt was evaluated by the push-out test experimentally and analytically. In this study, shear resistance of the joint installed in the deck is evaluated by design equation. In comparison with resistances estimated by design equation and test results, the deck joint is structurally safe enough, and in the case of pointed loading efficient width of the prefabricated steel grid composite deck is about 1m long.

This study investigated the shear behavior of hollowed-head precast reinforced concrete(HPC) pile. In order to evaluate shear strength of the pile, two specimens were manufactured and shear strength test was performed based on KS F 4306 Standard. From the test result it was found that the flexural and inclined cracks were appeared and crack widths were controlled within the shear span up to maximum loads as well as did not appear the abrupt fracture. The average maximum shear load was measured 823.6 kN.

In this study, applicability of the steel grid composite deck to temporary or building structure is reviewed. structural performance such as flexural strength, and serviceability is compared with those of the existing deck structures. the result shows that the steel grid composite deck is applicable to horizontal supporting member of temporary of building structure.

To improve the shear bonding capacity of deckplate and concrete, we retrofit shape of 150 TU deck and performed fire resistance test. Fire resistance test results show 90 minutes fire resistance capacity for 6kN/m2 live load condition.

The four buckling resistance steel dampers were tested under cyclic lateral load to investigate the relationship of lateral load and displacement. The main variables are the existence of cover plate for preventing from buckling of out-of-plane and thickness of sim plate with 3.2 mm, 4.5 mm and 7.0 mm. The test showed that steel damper with cover plate had the wider area of its hysteresis loop than that of without.

In this study, a study on the structural safety evaluation method of steel-plate concrete(SC) walls subjected to explosive blast loads were carried out. Various approaches to assess the blast response were reviewed, such as static method, equivalent SDOF method, explicit FE method, and computational fluid-dynamic method. Finally, preliminary blast response evaluation of SC walls were performed using equivalent SDOF method.

High speed railway bridges should be strictly maintained due to its social importance. However, There are many problems to execute loading test for precision safety diagnosis. A numerical experiment with a numerical model which is updated for reflecting characteristics of an existing bridge can be useful for high speed railway bridge maintenance. Moreover, more efficient maintenance can be possible if only ambient vibration is needed for numerical model updating process. In this study, a numerical model updating process is introduced in which only ambient vibration is enough to execute the process. Also, the usability of updated numerical model is verified by comparing measured and analyzed acceleration.

Concrete and bar of bond performance used in the most RC structure. So Through recent studies and experiments for the attachment behavior of concrete and steel issues and evaluate their characteristics. Bar are two was used as the D13 and D16. The Bond stress was increased result of experiment by placing a variable length according to the Bond stress formulation according to the diameter and reinforced.
