The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) has been ratified by 168 countries. Among these countries, Indonesia is one of the most notable states concerning compliance with the provisions of the UNCLOS. However, the aggressive actions exhibited by countries seeking to become world hegemonies have resulted in the violation of the Convention. Therefore, this research aims to critically analyse the problems associated with any violations of sovereignty and sovereign rights by foreign research vessels which are conducting commercial and military navigation in Indonesian waters (territorial sea with the archipelagic waters and the inland waters). This research shows that the spirit of the Djuanda Declaration constituting the main principle of the Indonesian Republic is a legal ground for defending the national interest of Indonesia as an archipelagic state. This is the key to maintaining the integrity of sovereignty and national interest.

The culture filtrate of Lentinula edodes showed potent antimicrobial activity against the plant pathogenic bacteria and fungi. To purify antibacterial compound, the culture filtrate was subjected to Octadecyl-silica (ODS) column chromatography and was eluted with different concentrations from 5 to 100% methanol and each 50 μL aliquot of the methanol elutes did not show antimicrobial effect on the bacteria, but the water fraction that passed through the column maintained antibacterial activity on the bacteria. The pH of the passed fraction was 3.9, speculating the low pH can be caused by an organic acid. Qualitative analyses of organic acids from culture filtrate of L. edodes were carried out by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). Nine organic acids including oxalic acid, phytic acid, malonic acid, and fumaric acid were identified and oxalic acid was a dominant component in culture filtrate of L. edodes and it made up 50% from HPLC analysis data. Oxalic acid concentrations over 300mg/L exhibited antimicrobial activities on eight phytopathogenic bacteria and different fungi. The quantitative analysis by HPLC revealed that the content of oxalic acid was more highly detected in water extract from spent mushroom substrate than that of liquid culture.

The orbital period changes of theWUMa eclipsing binary AU Ser are studied using the (O−C) method. We conclude that the period variation is due to mass transfer from the primary star to the secondary one at a very low and decreasing rate dP/dt = −8.872× 10−8, superimposed on the sinusoidal variation due to a third body orbiting the binary with period 42.87 ± 3.16 years, orbital eccentricity e = 0.52±0.12 and a longitude of periastron passage ! = 133◦.7±15. On studying the magnetic activity, we have concluded that the Applegate mechanism failed to describe the cycling variation of the (O − C) diagram of AU Ser.

We discuss the orbital period changes of the Algol semi-detached eclipsing binary DI Peg by con- structing the (O−C) residual diagram via using all the available precise minima times. We conclude that the period variation can be explained by a sine–like variation due to the presence of a third body orbiting the binary, together with a long-term orbital period increase (dP/dt = 0.17 sec/century) that can be in- terpreted to be due to mass transfer from the evolved secondary component (of rate 1.52×10−8M⊙/yr) to the primary one. The detected low-mass third body (M3 min. = 0.22±0.0006 M⊙) is responsible for a periodic variation of about 55 years light time effect. We have determined the orbital parameters of the third component which show a considerable eccentricity e3 = 0.77± 0.07 together with a longitude of periastron ω3 = 300° ± 10°.

Fabrication and investigation of composite made of graphite, SiC, mullite and aluminum as the additive are the aim of this project. Aluminum acts as an anti-oxidant. SiC is a non-metallic anti-oxidant that increases composite strength. Different compositions with influent percents of aluminum have been selected to determine product specifications by XRD, SEM and STA methods. Results show that the composition of 40wt% graphite-20% SiC- 20% mullite-20% aluminum is a more robust and occurs at elevated temperatures than other graphite combustion composites.

Experimental samples were produced with mullite and cordierite powders with SiC. Effects of temperature, atmosphere and additive on the composite properties were investigated by XRD, STA and PSA methods. Results show that samples containing calcinate cordierite and calcinate mullite with SiC baked in air atmosphere have not suitable properties at the temperature range of due to SiC intensive oxidation, while argon atmosphere decrease SiC oxidation. Using as the additive, cordierite phase formation and prevention from SiC oxidation at low temperatures were achieved, leading to the improvement of physical and mechanical properties

Tourist loyalty is created through good tourism service quality and the availability of tourism products. This study discussed the various attributes of tourism service quality, namely, tour agents, efficient personnel, accessible transportation, and information service quality. Whereas for tourism product availability attributes were varieties of product availability, wide selection of tour agents and tourist products, and wide variety of amenity services. As a general rule, the minimum is to have at least five times as many observations as the number of variables to be analyzed, and the more acceptable sample size would have a 10:1 ratio. A total of 424 questionnaires were returned, with 35 removed due to errors. Finally, 389 questionnaires respondents were used via accidental sampling method through the distribution of questionnaires to foreign tourists at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. In addition, AMOS 7.0 software is used to test models in confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) as well as hypothetical testing using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that all hypotheses were accepted, except for the effect of tourism service quality on tourist loyalty in Indonesia. This research aims to contribute significantly to the existing knowledge of tourism, specifically from a foreign tourist perspective in Indonesia.

This study empirically examines the effect of ownership structure on bank diversification and risk-taking behavior. The population of this study is based on all commercial banks listed in Bangladesh. Thirty-two conventional commercial banks were randomly selected from thirty-three conventional banks for this study. Data was collected from the annual reports of the concerned banks from 2000 to 2017. To analyze the data, we had applied the two-stage least squares (2SLS) estimator. The results of the analysis show that ownership structure i.e. managerial ownership, institutional ownership, general public ownership, and ownership concentration have a significant negative impact on bank diversification. On the other hand, institutional ownership, managerial ownership, and general public ownership have a significant positive impact on Z-score, and ownership concentration has an insignificant but positive impact on the Z-score of banks in Bangladesh. Therefore, the study opposes the benefits of diversification and promotes ownership structure which is capable of ensuring better financial stability by reducing the probability of risk. The policy-makers especially, Bangladesh banks should evaluate the fact of this study to issue guidelines on corporate governance, bank diversification, and risk-taking behavior of commercial banks.
