        The development of functional carbon materials using waste biomass as raw materials is one of the research hotspots of lithium-sulfur batteries in recent years. In this work, used a natural high-quality carbon source—coffee grounds, which contain more than 58% carbon and less than 1% ash. Honeycomb-like S and N dual-doped graded porous carbon (SNHPC) was successfully prepared by hydrothermal carbonization and chemical activation, and the amount of thiourea used in the activation process was investigated. The prepared SNHPC showed excellent electrochemical energy storage characteristics. For example, SNHPC-2 has a large pore volume (1.85 cm3·g− 1), a high mesoporous ratio (36.76%), and a synergistic effect (S, N interaction). As the cathode material of lithium-sulfur batteries, SNHPC-2/S (sulfur content is 71.61%) has the highest specific capacity. Its initial discharge-specific capacity at 0.2 C is 1106.7 mAh·g−1, and its discharge-specific capacity after 200 cycles is still as high as 636.5 mAh·g−1.

        윌리엄 볼츠는 이집트의 상형문자와 수메르 문자를 한자와 비교 연구하였다. 그는 “모든 한자는 반드시 표음 성분을 갖는다”라는 대원칙 아래에 한자를 “表意文字”가 아닌 “表詞文字”로 규정하려는 경향을 보였다. 윌리엄 볼츠에 의하면, 한자는 自源文字(다른 문자에 의존하지 않고 독립적으로 만들어진 문자)로서 그림에 기원한다. 또한 “前文字”에서 “文字”로의 전환은 돌발 적이고 순식간에 이루어진 과정이다. 한자는 “문자” 단계로 진입 후, “그림문자 단계”, “다의적 문자부호 단계”, “語音 및 語意 성분 제한 단계”의 3단계 발전 과정을 거쳤다. 하지만 최종적으 로 拼音化 단계는 밟지는 않았는데, 이는 중국어 자체가 지니는 언어적 제약과 중국인들이 가진 사상 및 이념의 영향 때문이라고 할 수 있다. 윌리엄 볼츠는 이처럼 총체적 시각에서 한자의 기원과 초기 전개 과정을 서술함과 동시에, 또한 한자의 기원과 관련된 전설, “六書”와 『說文解字』, 초기 한자의 규범화 및 표준화 등과 관련된 문제도 다루었다.

        The respiration rate of PH3 susceptible strain was significantly higher than the resistant strain. The results showed no significant effect of oxygen level on the respiration rate of both strains. Phosphine reduced the respiration rate of both strains when it was applied in average concentrations. However, the rate of respiration of the resistant beetles increased significantly under a high level of phosphine. The increase of respiration rate was associated with the higher emission of VOCs which prove the acceleration of metabolic processes to face the phosphine action for survival. Flat grain beetle Cryptolestes pusillus and rusty grain beetle C. ferrugineus are similar insect species, but only C. ferrugineus is capable to develop a high phosphine resistance. A direct immersion solid phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (DI-SPME-GCMS) technology has identified the different fatty acids from PH3 resistant and susceptible strain of Tribolium castaneum.

        Fumigation - one of the chemical methods - is the art of dispensing and applying gaseous substances especially for the purpose of disinfecting. It is an old and widely used technique for disinfestation of postharvest grain, fruit and vegetable. In a fumigation procedure, a gas is added to an enclosure for the purpose of controlling or eliminating undesirable organisms. The organisms may be pests of various types - such as insects, rodents, mites, and birds - or micro-organisms, or particular plants or seeds. The enclosure can be made from a diverse range of materials, including metal, concrete, bricks, mud and various plastic membranes. It is necessary to contain the fumigant while it acts on the target organism and to restrict its escape into areas where it may be dangerous to human health. In many situations fumigation may be the only feasible process for pest control as it does not require the commodity to be moved. Neither might it need specialized apparatuses, electricity, or manpower, and is relatively easy to apply in comparison with other methods, for example, heating and irradiation, as well as the use of protectants to control insects. Because fumigation is often the cheapest and most effective process available, it plays a major, world-wide, role in preserving commodities. However, researchers and operators not always fully understand principle of fumigant and fumigation practice to ensure select right fumigant and exposure time on different target insect pests and host commodities as well as application methods.

        This study aims to extend previous research on the structural relationships between organisational empowerment and frontline employees’ behaviors,and explores the role of the self-regulating process and its impact on service recovery performance by using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). Following the procedure of applying fsQCA (data calibration, truth table construction and fsQCA analysis) on the data of express mail firms in China, the results explore the combination of several causes as solutions that lead to both high and low service recovery performance. The findings show that the organisational empowerment is a sufficient antecedent for high service recovery performance, especially in case where frontline employee have full awareness and positive work involvement. Moreover, in the context of organisational empowerment, a reasonable level of emotional exhaustion represents a positive impact on performance in service recovery. This study offers more comprehensive insights for practitioners to empower frontline employees and monitor their emotions and behaviors using more appropriate approaches.

        This paper examines the new trends of interaction between the legal transformations in China and the international investment treaties, focusing on the legal reforms after the Fourth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth Party Central Committee Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Party Central Committee of the PRC of 2014 (2014 FPS). It envisages that the 2014 FPS will impose significant influence on the current legal system in China, on the forthcoming Foreign Investment Law of China, and eventually on the negotiation and application of the international investment treaties concluded by China because the CPC Central Committee Decision on Certain significant Issues regarding the Comprehensive Promotion of Law (PCC Decision) has demonstrated the directions of legal constructions and reforms explicitly and comprehensively from the administrative, judicial, social, and jurist perspectives, which constitutes the most inclusive PCC Decision regarding Chinese law and justice.

        (‐)‐Epigallocatechin 3‐gallate (EGCG) is a potent antioxidant polyphenol in green tea that acts as an anticancer agent via both direct and indirect pathways. Although the relationship between EGCG’s anticancer effects and its antioxidant activity is not fully understood, it is known that EGCG stimulates production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which induce oxidative stress leading to cell death. In IM9 multiple myeloma cells, EGCG acted in a dose‐ and time‐dependent manner to induce apoptotic cell death. Among the antioxidant enzymes expressed in IM9 cells, levels of peroxiredoxin (Prdx) V were selectively and significantly reduced by EGCG. Moreover, the ROS scavenger NAC completely inhibited EGCG‐induced apoptosis and PrdxV reduction, while overexpression of PrdxV, but not a PrdxVC48S mutant, protected IM9 cells from EGCG‐induced apoptosis. EGCG‐induced reductions in cell viability and PrdxV levels were also observed in primary CD138+ multiple myeloma cells from patients. These results suggest that PrdxV is a key target via which EGCG mediates its anticancer effects.

        In Korea, methyl bromide(MeBr) is the only registered fumigant for quarantine application in imported timbers and wood packaging materials to control foreign wood-destroying pest. Under a agreement in the Clean Air Act and the Montreal Protocol to MeBr's ozone depleting properties, the use of MeBr is now strictly restricted and phased out year by year, even though there are exemptions for QPS (Quarantine and Pre-shipment) and CUE (Critical Use Exemption). However, due to increasing of global trades and protection of agro-ecosystem in imported counties against quarantine pests, MeBr in QPS use is increasing (16,304t in 2005, approximately 8.7% increase based on 1996), and domestic consumption of MeBr is recorded up to 938t (annual average among 2003 and 2005), especially the 67% percent (628t) of total MeBr uses imported timber and wood packing materials. Since ethanedinitrile (EDN) was patented by CSIRO in Australia, BOC and Dongbu have tried to develop and commercialize EDN as a timber fumigant. This is updated information on the developmental status of EDN, which included the biological efficacy to target pests and the penetrating aspect to target commodity in the semi-field and various field trials. Based on current results, EDN could replace MeBr for using timber fumigation and would play an important role in the ozone layer protection.

        High Energy Milling (HEM) is applied for the grinding of cement and this can lead to substantial refinement (<2μm) and mechanically activation of the powder particles. The present paper reviews the preliminary studies, explains the novel technique and suggests the route into commercial application. Particular attention is paid to wear results with an applied unit where no substantial wear was found after 4000 h of operation.

        The present paper is a parameter study of zinc flake production using a Simoloyer CM01 horizontal high energy rotary ball mill. The manufactured flakes have a dimension in thickness (t) < 1μm and diameters (d) 5-100 μm, consequently a ratio d/t up to 200. The flake geometry is mainly controlled by the variation of process parameters such as rotary speed of the rotor, ratio of powder/ball charge, load ratio of the system, process temperature, operating model and the quantity of process control agent (PCA). The Zn flakes were characterized by SEM, tap densitometry, laser diffraction and water coverage measurement.

        The horizontal high energy rotor ball mill () is used to break and activate dry solids. It is used for dry-milling and in the vertical mount for wet-milling in leaching processes. Technical electric arc furnace (EAF) dust with high contents of zinc oxide, zinc ferrite and magnetite is efficiently separated by ambient temperature leaching.         The Wanpaoshan Incident that took place in 1931 and the tragic Anti-Chinese Riots that ensued in Korea had great repercussions in the three countries of East Asia. Writers in Korea, China and Japan fictionalized these events concurrently or a few years after the incident. In the other of publication, the novelette Manpozan (October 1931) by Ito Einesuke, a Japanese writer, the novel Wanpaoshan (March 1933) by Li Huiying of China, the novelette “Farmer” (July 1939) by Yi T’ae-Chun of Korea, novella Rice Plant (1941) by An Su-Kil of Korea and the novel Reclamation (1943) by Chang Hyŏk-Chu of Korea were major examples. This article, using four novels – Ito Einosuke’s Manpozan, Li Huiying’s Wanpaoshan, Yi T’ae-Chun’s “Farmer”, and An Su-Kil’s Rice Plant – as main texts, analyzed the ways in which writers from Korea, Japan and China fictionalized the Wanpaoshan Incident. The four novels dealing with the Wanpaoshan Incident were all written from different perspectives and thus the emphases were different as well. The writers responded differently, and we will show how the writer’s national identity, ideology, and the existence of experience and its depth were articulated in the fictionalization process of a literary work.
