        시설 오이에 발생하여 피해를 주고 있는 총채벌레류의 효율적 방제를 위해 국내 5지역 꽃노랑총채벌레를 대상으로 10종 약제에 대하여 생물검정을 실시하였다. Emamectin benzoate EC, Chlorfenapyr EC, Spinetoram SC, Spinosad SC은 추천농도에서 90% 이상의 살충활성을 보였다. Cyantraniliprole EC의 추천농도 살충활성이 가장 높은 지역은 장성(79.0%)이었고, 배량농도에서는 모든 지역계통에서 95%이상의 살충활성을 보였다. Neonicotinoid계의 Acetamiprid WP는 지역계통별 추천농도에서 살충활성이 최대 40%(창녕)이었고, 배량농도에서는 최대 81.7%(상주)였다. Dinotefuran WG의 지역계통별 추천농도 최대 살충활성은 80%(평택)이었고, 배량농도에서는 장성계통만 100%의 살충활성을 보인 반면, 나머지 지역계통에서는 85% 이하의 값을 보였다. Thiacloprid SC는 지역계통별 추천농도 살충활성이 최대 59.3%(창녕)이었고, 배량농도에서는 상주와 창녕계통에서 만 90%이상의 살충활성을 보였으며, 평택, 안성, 장성계통에서는 각각 75.0%, 81.7%, 24.2%의 값을 보였다. Thiamethoxam SC의 지역계통별 추천농도 최대 살충활성은 75.6%(상주)였고, 배량농도에서는 안성, 상주, 창녕계통에서 90% 이상의 살충활성을 보였고, 평택, 장성계통에서는 각각 78.3%, 26.5%의 값을 보였다. 본 실험에서 꽃노랑총채벌레는 Emamectin benzoate EC, Chlorfenapyr EC, Spinetoram SC, Spinosad SC에서 높은 감수성을 보인반면 Cyantraniliprole EC과 Neonicotinoid계 5종 약제에 대하여는 저항성이 발달하고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

        약용작물인 천궁류를 가해하는 총채벌레류의 발생종을 확인하고자 2018년 7월과 8월 2회에 걸쳐 영주와 봉화의 일천궁과 토천궁 재배지에서 채집하였다. 두 재배지에서 총 5종의 총채벌레류가 발생함을 확인하였고 꽃노랑총채벌레 > 대만꽃노랑총채벌레 > 미나리총채벌레 > 볼록총채벌레 > 대관령총채벌레 > 파총채벌레 순으로 동일하였지만 포획비율에서는 약간의 차이를 보여 주었다. 이러한 결과는 약용작물로 재배하고 있는 2종의 천궁에서 우점종이 꽃노랑총채벌레와 대만총채벌레임을 확인시켜 주었다. 또한 미나리총채벌레와 대관령총채벌레가 천궁류에서 서식하고 있음을 처음 확인하였다.

        Until recently, Thrips setosus Moulton, 1928 (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) has been regarded as endemic to Japan, occurring in open and greenhouse fields. The thrips causes direct feeding damage as well as transmits Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) to agricultural vegetables and ornamentals. In 2014, it was found on Hydrangea in the Netherlands and then also confirmed as a invasive pest in the other European countries such as France and Germany. Interestingly, Hydrangea originated in Southern and Eastern Asia has not previously been recorded as a host plant. In Korea, since its first discovery in a commercial Hydrangea greenhouse in Gimje, Jeonbuk Province this year, the species was additionally found on the same crop in Jeonnam and Gyeonggi Provinces. Occording to the farmers, all Hydrangea plants has been imported from the Netherlands. Molecular phylogenetic study using COI partial gene strongly suggests that the thrips may have recurrently invaded with infested Hydrangea plants from Europe.

        꽃노랑총채벌레는 저항성 해충군이 가지고 있는 크기가 작고 산란수가 많으며 세대기간이 매우 짧은 특성을 가지고 있다. 또한, 이동능력이 우수하고, 다양한 령기가 혼재하고 있으며, 꽃과 잎 등 식물체뿐만 아니라 토양에서 생활환을 완성하는 복잡한 생태를 가지고 있다. 이러한 총채벌레의 특성으로 인하여 시설 내 방제는 어려운 실정이며, 동일계통의 작용기작을 갖는 약제들의 단조로운 패턴의 약제사용으로 인하여 그 방제효과는 떨어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 꽃노랑총채벌레의 효과적인 방제를 위한 약제 혼용살포, 연속살포, 로테이션 처리별 효과 검증을 통하여 방제체계를 제안하였다. 우선 실내에서 약제별 약충과 성충에 대한 처리방법별 효과 검토를 통하여 꽃노랑총채벌레 밀도가 높지 않은 초기에 사용이 가능한 약제와 총채벌레 밀도가 높은 시기에 처리할 수 있는 약제를 선발하였고, 이를 기반으로 포장에서 혼용살포, 연속살포, 로테이션 조합별 효과 검토를 하였다. 또한 본 시험결과들을 기초로 ㈜경농에서는 3가지 이상의 다른 작용기작의 약제를 밀도가 높을 경우 3~5일 간격으로 3회 이상 연속살포하는 3!3!3! 총채벌레 관리프로그램을 운영중이며 지속적으로 관리프로그램을 개선해 나가는 중이다.

        Thrips is one of the serious insect pests in many economic crops, in which general managements rely mainly on chemical insecticides. However, the overuse of chemicals led to the development of insect resistance and environmental residual issues. Therefore, thrips management requires the consideration of alternative strategies which are less harmful to the environment and working on different target points. In this work, we isolated entomopathogenic fungi from soil, and identified them with morphological and molecular biology methods, followed by a preliminary virulence assay against Tenebrio molitor larvae. Selected fungal isolates were adjusted to 1×107 conidia/ml for an indoor virulence assay against thrips adults, and highly virulent isolates were added to a thrip-pathogenic fungal library. Biological characteristics of efficacious isolates were investigated comparing to a previously commercialized fungal isolate. This entomopathogenic fungal library could be used as a valuable resource for developing effective strains to control thrips in agricultural fields.

        Residual contact vial (RCV) method was used to monitor insecticide resistance in field populations of the melon thrips, Thrips palmi. Median lethal doses (LD50) at 8 h post-treatment of six insecticides (chlorfenapyr, cyantraniliprole, cypermethrin, dinotefuran, emamectin benzoate and spinosad), which are commonly used for T. palmi control, were determined at 8 h post-treatment using a susceptible RDA strain. The diagnostic doses for on-site resistance monitoring of the six insecticides, which were determined as two-fold higher doses of LD90 for the RDA strain, were in the range of 0.299 to 164,25 μg-1cm2. To test the applicability of RCV for T. palmi, insecticide resistance levels in three field populations (Gyeonggi; GG_AS, Chungbuk; CB_CJ, Jeonbuk; JB_KJ) were evaluated. Field populations showed reduced mortality (0-50% mortality) to spinosad, cypermethrin, cyantraniliprole and emamectin benzoate, that they have different degree of resistances to these insecticides. In particular, all test field populations exhibited 0% mortality to spinosad, suggesting wide spread of spinosad resistance in the field. Moreover, no detectable mortality to emamectin benzoate was observed in JB_KJ strain, suggesting uneven distribution of emamectin benzoate resistant population of T. palmi. To provide more precise information on resistance profiles and distribution in T. palmi populations, it would be necessary to conduct a large scale resistance mapping for broad geographical regions.

        We evaluated three previously known repellents of Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), i.e., carvacrol, cis-jasmone, and methyl jasmonate for the attraction of commercialized predators, Orius laevigatus (Fieber) (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae), and native predator, O. minutus (L.), in Y-tube olfactometer. Higher proportion of O. laevigatus (mated unfed adult females) moved to the arm of methyl jasmonate or cis-jasmone than the arm of clean air. However, O. minutus did not show any significant preference to the chemicals tested. These results suggest that, among the tested chemicals, methyl jasmonate or cis-jasmone would be a good attractant for O. laevigatus.

        시판되고 있는 51종(단제 21종과 합제 30종)의 살충제를 이용한 꽃노랑총채벌레와 대만총채벌레 성충에 대한 약제 감수성을 검토한 결과 90% 이상의 살충률을 보인 약제 15종을 선발하였으며, 시판되고 있는 합제에서 많은 유효성분들이 오남용되고 있다고 보여진다. 2종의 총채벌레에 대한 살충제 감수성을 비교한 결과 모든 약제에 대하여 대만총채벌레가 꽃노랑총채벌레에 비해 높은 감수성을 보이기 때문에 꽃노랑총채벌 레에 효과 있는 약제로 동시방제가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 꽃노랑총채벌레를 대상으로 선발된 15종의 약제를 이용하여 약효발현속도(LT50과 LT95), 침투이행성, 잔효성을 비교하였다. 약효 발현속도를 LT95 (hour)값으로 비교했을 때, chlorpyrifos WP, chlorpyrifos + diflubenzuron WP가 2시간 이내로 가장 빨랐고, spinetoram WG은 62.3시간으로 가장 느렸다. Chlorfenapyr SC에서 뿌리와 엽면을 통한 침투이행 효과가 나타났고, spinetoram WG에서 엽면을 통한 침투이행 효과만이 나타났다. 약제 잔효성 실험에서 chlorfenapyr SC는 14일, benfuracarb WG 와 chlorpyrifos WP는 3일까지 효과가 지속되었다. 꽃노랑총채벌레 야외집단(화훼재배지와 과채류재배지)간의 감수성 비교에서는 화훼재배지에서 채집된 집단이 더 낮은 약제 감수성을 보였다.

        오미자를 가해하는 여러 해충 중 과피를 가해하는 볼록총채벌레를 대상으로 황색등에 대한 기피반응과 유인제에 대한 유인반응을 2017년 5월부터 8월까지 경북 문경시 동로면 소재 유기전환, 무농약, GAP 및 유기농 재배지에서 조사하였다. 황색등을 처리한 평지 및 경사지 모두에서 볼록총채벌레의 기피반응을 확인할 수 없었고 꽃노랑총채벌레 의 유인제로 사용하고 있는 p-anisic acid methyl ester에 대한 유인반응 또한 대조구와 비교했을 때 효과가 없는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 결과는 Derksen et al. (2016)이 언급한 것처럼 볼록총채벌레가 주행성(diurnal) 해충임을 의미하며 p-anisic acid methyl ester가 아닌 오미자가 발산하는 다른 향기물질(plant violates)을 이용한 유인제나 수컷이 방출하는 집합페로몬을 활용한 트랩 개발이 필요함을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 트랩 개발은 볼록총채벌레의 효과적인 예찰 및 대량포획에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

        꽃노랑총채벌레는 국화, 장미, 고추, 토마토 등 여러 작물의 잎, 꽃, 과실을 흡즙 및 산란을 통해 피해를 주며 토마토반점위조바이러스(TSWV)와 국화줄기괴저바이러스(CSNV) 등을 매개한다. 재배작기, 환경, 품종등에 따라 총채벌레류의 발생과 피해가 다양하게 나타나는 국화는 총채벌레류 및 매개 바이러스병으로 인해 약 20∼30%의 생산량이 감소된다. 또한 총채벌레류에 대한 약제저항성 계통의 출현이 지속적으로 보고되어 살충제의 교호사용에 주의가 필요한 방제가 어려운 해충 중 하나이다. 살충력이 높은 살충제를 선정하기 위하여 시판하는 국화 총채벌레류 등록 살충제 Acetamiprid, Acetamiprid+Spinetoram, Acrinathrin, Benfuracarb, Buprofezin+Thiamethxam, Chlorfenapyr+ lothiandin, Chlorfenapyr+Imidacloprid, Emamectin+Benzoate, Imidacloprid, Thimethoxam 10종을 꽃노랑총채벌레에 살포 한 결과 유효성분으로 Pyrroles계인 Chlorfenapyr를 함유한 살충제의 살충력이 가장 높았다. 총채벌레류의 화학적 방제 시 Chlorfenapyr가 함유한 살충제를 사용하는 것이 효과적이다.

        Thrips setosus Moulton, 1928 (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), one of the Tospovirus vectors, was found at a commercial greenhouse in Korea. It damaged to leaves of hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla). The thrips widely distributes in Japan, being regarded as its origin. Recently, it invaded in Europe such as the Netherlands, France, and Germany. Unlike Japan, it was found on Hydrangea plants in European countries. In Korea, the thrips was recorded in 1974 by Woo. However, examination of voucher specimens reveals that the record is not true. According to the collection data since 2000, its distribution in Korea is rarely limited in Jeonbuk and Jeju. For identification, representative morphological characteristics and COI barcoding results are provided with possibility of introduction from Europe.

        Beauveria bassiana (Bb) is a potential biopesticide against western flower thrips. To understand molecular characteristics of two Bb isolates (ERL836 and JEF-007), whole genome sequencing and RNA-seq were performed. The whole genome of Bb ERL836 was sequenced (3,934,801,443 bp) using Pacbio sequencing and 15 contigs were analyzed. To understand the molecular mechanisms of pathogenicity in two Bb genome (before infection and after infection), next generation sequencing (NGS) was analyzed to compare transcriptomes. A result of differentially expressed gene (DEG) showed that 2,689 contigs were up-regulated and 2,619 contigs were down-regulated. Randomly selected five genes were validated to be highly up-regulated. This work can provide an understanding of the interaction between Bb and westetn flower thrips.

        The susceptibility of the Frankliniella occidentalis and Frankliniella intonsa was evaluated using 46 commercial insecticides. There were 10 kinds of insecticides as benfuracarb, chlorfenapyr, spinetoram, spinosad, abamectin + chlorfenapyr, abamectin + emamectin benzoate, chlorfenapyr + clothianidin, chlorfenapyr + imidacloprid, clothianidin + spinetoram and dinotefuran + spinetoram, which showed more than 90% mortality against both thrips, F. occidentalis and F. intonsa. Since the F. intonsa is more susceptible than F. occidentalis, it is considered that both thrips can be controlled by insecticides that show insecticidal activity on the F. occidentalis. The effect by the elapsed time after treatment of 10 kinds of insecticides was analyzed as LT50 and LT95 values. Benfuracarb was the fastest in 4.3 h (LT50) and 14 h (LT95), and spinetoram showed the most late time at 13.5 h (LT50) and 62.3 h (LT95), respectively.

        Melon thrips, Thrips palmi Karny (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) is a serious insect pest of various crops in the world. The management of this pest mainly have relied on chemical agents. However, the overuse of chemical agents for long times causes insect resistance, and negative effects on environment. Therefore, alternative control methods, such as biological control, that are less harmful to the environment and have different mode of action are needed to control this pest. In this study, we isolated entomopathogenic fungi from Korean soil, and characterized them via morphological and molecular identifications and pathogenicity check against Tenebrio molitor larvae. The isolated fungi were subjected to virulence assay against T. Palmi with a conidial suspension of 1×107 conidia/ml in laboratory conditions. This entomopathogenic fungi library would be a good resource to select effective strains for the control of T. palmi in fields.

        For our survey of insecticidal resistance of Palm thrips (Thrips palmi Karny), we established the discriminating time (DT) and concentration (DC) of nine insecticides, and we conducted a bioassay about seven local populations via leaf-dipping methods. The discriminating times of the recommended concentration (RC) were 24 h at emamectin benzoate EC and spinetoram SC, 48 h at chlorfenapyr EC, 72 h at spinosad SC, cyantraniliprole EC, acetamiprid WP, dinotefuran WG, imidacloprid WP and thiacloprid SC after treatment. The DC estimated the concentration which showed the difference within the mortalities of these local populations. The DCs were emamectin benzoate EC 0.013 mg L-1 (RC, 10.8 mg L-1), spinetoram SC 0.125 mg L-1 (RC, 25.0 mg L-1), chlorfenapyr EC 0.25 mg L-1 (RC, 50.0 mg L-1), spinosad SC 0.083 mg L-1 (RC, 50.0 mg L-1) and cyantraniliprole EC 5.0 mg L-1 (RC, 50.0 mg L-1), and DCs of neonicotinoids were their RCs, that is, acetamiprid WP (RC, 40.0 mg L-1), dinotefuran WG (RC, 20.0 mg L-1), imidacloprid WP (RC, 50.0 mg L-1) and thiacloprid SC (RC, 50.0 mg L-1). From our investigation into the resistance of the local populations with DT and DC application, the neonicotinoid insecticides have shown a high resistant level for all the local populations, and the other insecticides have demonstrated low or non-resistance. In the use of neonicotinoid insecticides to control Palm thrips, one must take caution. As a result, the establishment of DT and DC in the single dose bioassay method was helpful for surveying the insecticide response dynamics and the development of an insecticide resistance management strategy.

        춘천지역 농가 및 강원도농업기술원 내 시험포장에서 반촉성재배토마토(2~6월)에서 트랩을 이용한 주요 해충의 발생밀도와 천적 등을 이 용한 방제효과를 조사 하였다. 토마토 재배농가에서 주로 사용하는 약제와 유기농자재의 천적곤충에 대한 독성평가도 수행하였다. 반촉성재배 시 발생되는 주요 해충은 온실가루이(Trialeurodes vaporariorum)와 총채벌레류이었다. 온실가루이의 경우 4월 중순경부터 발생하기 시작하여 5 월 중순 이후 발생이 증가하였고, 총채벌레류는 4월 상순 경 발생을 시작하여 6월 이후에 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 저독성약제 선발시험을 통해 온실가루이와 총채벌레의 천적인 온실가루이좀벌과 미끌애꽃노린재에 대해 60% 이하의 독성을 보이는 살충제 1종(spiromesifen SC), 살균제 1종(cyazofamid SC) 및 님 추출물이 함유된 유기농자재 외 1종을 선발하였다. 이상의 결과에서 제시한 천적중심 관리모델을 적극적으로 활용한 다면 토마토 반촉성 시설재배 시 온실가루이와 총채벌레를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        This study was conducted to monitoring the insecticidal susceptibility of Western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis,damaging the horticultural crops in Gyeonggi area. Neonicotinoid insecticides, especially acetamiprid SP, clothianidin SC,imidacloprid WP and thiacloprid WG were not toxic to F. occidentalis collected from horticultural crops. Excepting theinsecticide of spinosin or pyrrole class, there was a little class of insecticides for the effective control of F. occidentalisin horticultural crop areas. Considering all the results in this study, spinosin insecticides including over 4 and 10% ofspinetoram and spinosad, and pyrrole insecticide including over 5% of chlorfenapyr should be recommended for the effectivecontrol of F. occidentalis, damaging the horticultural crops in Gyeonggi area.

        From simple niche models to machine learning methods, there have been intensive efforts to understand the potentialdistribution of species in last two decades. Especially in the agricultural sector, recent SDM, Species Distribution Models,studies highly enthused to predict the potential distribution of invasive species under Climate Change. Beyond the distribution,efforts are needed to assess potential risk caused by the target pest. The Shared Socio-Economic Pathways (SSPs) are scenariosfor climate change impacts and adaptation measures. We used MaxEnt model to predict potential distribution of melonthrips with two RCPs (4.5, 8.5) and three SSPs (SSP1, SSP2, SSP3) scenarios. In agricultural land, the potential distributionof melon thrips increases under climate change, but the impact is reduced with the development-oriented scenario, SSP3.

        Thrips worms and root-knot nematodes occur in a variety of crops, and have shown a great deal of damage to farm income every year, and the damage is increasing every year. In order to solve these problems, a variety of biological materials are used in Korea to develop a control agent. However, there are very few products available that can satisfy the consumer's satisfactory control effect, efficacy, formulation stability and pesticide compatibility. In order to propose a biological control solution to these problems, this study was conducted to develop the optimal bioprocess technology and formulations suitable for the material by transferring the Aspergillus nigerF22 strain, which is effective for root-knot nematodes, at Chonnam National University. This study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of Aspergillus niger F22 20% suspension concentrate (Productname:NEMAFREE), which has excellent efficacy on root nematodes. The packing test result showed about 70-90% control effect. Soil fumigation and disinfection treatments after 4 days of planting were effective. In addition, we have developed a product to control the under powder pupa using Beauveria bassiana ERL836, an insect pathogenic microorganism, which has excellent control effect against resistant insect pupa. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of insect pests on the under poor control of the pupa in the soil. In the pavement test, more than 70%(GR) formulation, which can be treated withch emical pesticides, and it is confirmed that synergy effect is in the control of Thrips worm.
