본 연구는 미래사회에 필요한 주도성과 창의성과의 관계를 밝힘으로서 미래사회를 이끌어 갈 유아의 창의성과 주도성의 개발 연구하는데 기초자료로 활용되기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 4․5세 남녀 유아 122명이었다. 유아주도성을 측정하기 위하여 오숙현(2003)의 유아 주도성 검사 체크리스트를 사용하였으며 유아의 창의성을 측정하기 위하여 전경원(1997)의 유아 도형 창의성 검사도구를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS를 이용하여 상관관계, t-검증을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 유아의 주도성과 창의성은 유의미한 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 유아의 성에 따라 창의성에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 주도성에서는 유아의 성에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 연령에 따라서는 창의성과 주도성 모두 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다.
The Purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between initiativeness andncreativity of young children. The subjects were 122 day care center children in K city. Thencollected data were analyzed by Pearson's r and t-test using the SPSS Computer Program.nThe major results of this study were as follows: First, There were signigicant positivenrelationship between initiativeness and creativity of young children. Second, Initiativenessnof young children were statistically significant differences by young children's gender. ButnCreativity of young children were not statistically significant differences by youngnchildren's gender. Third, Initiativeness and Creativity were not statistically significantndifferences by young children's age.
