본고에서는 대중 매체 중에서 新聞과 放送媒體에 주목하여,이를 활용한 漢字․漢字語敎授-學習方法을 구안해보고자 한다.이를 위해 먼저 매체의 특성에 대해 살펴본 후,선행 연구 검토를 통해 신문․방송을 활용한 실제 교수-학습 방법을 구안해 보았다.신문․방송과 같은 대중 매체를 수업에 활용하는 경우는 크게 2가지로 나뉜다.하나는 수업의 보조 자료로 활용하는 경우와 다른 하나는 교사가 교육과정에 근거하여 자료를 재구성하여 활용하는 경우다.연구자는 후자의 수업 유형을 통해 신문․방송을 활용한 한자․한자어 교수-학습 과정을 구안해 보았다.이를 위해 교수-학습법 중 ‘협동학습’의 원리에 기초하여 ‘신문활용교육(NIE)법’을 적용하여 수업과정을 설계하였다.제시한 교수-학습 방법의 내용과 절차를 圖式化하면 다음과 같다. 이러한 신문․방송을 한문 교과에 활용함으로써 얻을 수 있는 잇점으로는,한자로 된 어휘의 뜻 이해,한자․한문 교육의 근거,민족의 사상과 정신을 체득하는 것 등이 있겠다.이러한 잇점과 함께 제한점을 살펴보면,난이도 조정 문제의 발생 가능성과 지나치게 교사의 역량에 의존한다는 점이다.이러한 제한점들은 신문․방송 매체를 활용한 漢文敎育의 理論的接近과 함께 現場授業硏究의 꾸준한 試圖들이 병행되어야 극복될 것이다.아울러 ‘이론과 이론’,‘이론과 현장’,‘현장과 현장’사이의 꾸준한 교류의 축적이 현시점 漢文敎科敎育學에 절실히 요구된다.

This research developed a method of teaching and learning Chinese characters, focuses on newspaper and broadcasting from the mass media. There are two ways of using mass media like newspaper and broadcasting. One is utilizing them as a second material, the other is revising the materials and using them based on curriculum. I used the second method and developed a method of teaching and learning Chinese characters utilizing newspapers and broadcasting . Using NIE I developed teaching plans. The following chart represents the teaching and learning procedure: The advantages of this method are understanding words written as chinese characters, and comprehending the foundation of chinese character education and national ideology and spirit. Thinking of limit, as well, there's problem with the level of difficulties and this research is so dependent on teachers' ability. It needs to try to practice teaching methodology with theory. In addition, it is necessary to promote interchanges of 'theory to theory', 'theory to class', and 'class to class'.
