Yeats’s third book of poetry, The Wind Among the Reeds, is considered the most beautiful collection of his earlier poems. At a glance, it seems to show, the title simply represents his Romantic temperament. But when we begin reading the poems in it, they feel quite different from traditional images of the wind, the reeds, and the nature. The images subtly expresses what changes in his mind and heart as he interacts with the outside forces, the principal of which is his desire for a woman. Maud Gonne.
