한국고고학에서 점토대토기문화에 대한 연구는 기원과 편년, 그리고 전개양상을 중심으로 진행되 어 왔으며, 여기에 사회성격에 대한 논의가 추가되고 있는 상황이다. 본고는 이와 같은 연구경향을 발 전적으로 계승하면서 중국 요령지역에서 남한지역으로 유입된 외래계 점토대토기문화가 재지문화와 어떠한 접촉 양상을 보여주고 있는지, 그리고 이에 수반하여 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지에 대해서 주 거문화에 초점을 맞춰서 검토하였다. 먼저, 주거구조에서 볼 때 벽부노뿐만 아니라, 그동안 주목하지 않았던 장축노도 외래계 주거에 속할 가능성이 높은 것으로 보았다. 또한 평양 남경 3호 주거의 토기 를 점토대토기로 인정하는 쪽과 비판적으로 보는 입장이 상존하는 상황에서, 주거구조를 검토하여 전 자의 견해가 타당하다는 것을 밝혔다. 점토대토기 출토 유적을 취락의 측면에서 보면, 영동지역에서 는 외래계 주거 및 유물이 주체적인 유적이 주로 확인되고 있는 반면에, 영서지역의 경우는 재지문화 가 중심을 이루는 취락에서 외래문화가 일부 수용되는 경향이 나타났다. 양 지역 모두 재지문화와 외 래문화가 상호작용하면서 상대방의 문화를 받아들였는데, 이는 혼인과 같은 인적교류가 활발히 이루 어진 것과 연동되는 것으로 생각된다. 이와 관련하여 외래계 취락과 재지계 취락의 교류 과정에서 나 타난 모방(절충)토기의 존재를 주목하였다. 한편 유적마다 타문화 주거지의 구성 비율 및 유물 출토 양상에서 차이가 있는 점에서 볼 때, 집단마다 공동체의 성향에 따라 외부 문화의 수용 양태가 달랐던 것으로 보인다.

The discussion on the pottery with clay strip culture has focused on the origin, chronology and characteristics of the society in Korean archaeology. This paper takes an in-depth study on the foreign pottery with clay strip culture in flowed from Liaoning area in China and on its influences over the existing culture and its contact aspect. It also examines the changes focused on the dwelling culture. First of all, it was turn out to be a foreign dwelling type because of a fire place attached on the wall and on the major axis on the floor. Under a controversial situation, while researchers recognize pottery pottery with clay strip excavated at No. 3 housing spot of Namgyung remains in Pyungyang-shi, others have a critical opinion against it. This paper suggests that the former opinion is appropriate due to its housing structure. While foreign dwelling sites and their remains are excavated mainly in the Gangwon Youngdong area, existing dwellings and their remains are dominant in Youngseo area. There was an interaction between those two areas of existing culture and foreign culture. It is estimated that there was an interchange among people with a marriage. According to this aspect, pottery manufacturers at foreign dwelling sites from existing culture had imitated the pottery with clay strip. This paper put a great importance on this pottery.
